Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Why didnt we draft TJ Yates ????????
You do realize that they have a better team overall, so even if we had drafted Yates, that there would be a lot of other pieces missing? |
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Again idk what mike was thinking
Easy to play the hindsight game. Mike gave us our best draft in about 20 years. |

TJ Yates > Dejone Gomes. 5th round pick was all it would have taken. All that would have been missing was Gomes. |

Actually I thought Gomes gave us a pretty good season. Hard to believe Yates would have beat Grossman out in a straight competition. But hey hindsight works wonders. |

Without Adrian Foster, Johnson, and a solid TE/Line, TJ Yates wouldn't be doing a damn thing. Especially if he came here. That offense is loaded with talent. |

Still no QB. We know you think MS is infallible, but it is hard to not wonder why we couldnt move around to get a 2nd rounder QB. |

Just like Kyle Shanahan? |

He still has to play QB and he's doing enoug for them to win. Also he played a couple of games without AJ. |

Rookie gets picked off again.

Well it would have been better for Houston is that had been an incomplete pass. |

Au contraire monsieur! I think he's done several things that I haven't agreed with. I'm just not carrying a pitchfork and torch calling for the man's head and blaming him for not grabbing any and all players that turn out good. The difference is, I without a doubt believe the guy had his hands tied when it came to obtaining a QB. Sure you may make the case for a Hasslebeck, but you can't even prove that he would have been better than Rex. Put up average numbers with a good OL and the games best RB. I've said before, you don't draft a QB unless you love him. Which is exactly why they bypassed on Gabbert, and probably why they would have picked up Locker. I assure you. Dalton would not be having that type of success here with our current talent. You know this, I know this. Not the same situations.
Just like Kyle Shanahan?
Can't argue with that. |

Raise your hand if you thought the rookie QB from last year's draft class to win a playoff game this season was going to be TJ Yates

Not I. Also, Crocker needs to be cut right after the game for that lack of effort on the Foster TD run. Horrible. |

Raise your hand if you even thought that this past years QB's class was even better than the past couple years QB classes! Also I can see Houston going on an Arizona Cardinal type run in the playoffs if they continue playing like this. And Detroit beats the saints tonight. |

Why cant the Redskins find these 7th round guys who can step in and play at a high level right off the bat? Its not like Yates is a RB either, he's playing the most important position on the field and doing just fine. There is QB talent outside the top 5 picks but for some reason the Skins just cant seem to find it. |

True but it seems like the Skins and the fans seem to think the only way to get a top QB is to draft a big name future "franchise" QB when in reality there is good QB talent that can be had without having to give up a bunch of future picks to trade up. |

Take that same 7th rounder, and stick him on the Rams squad and watch him do dick. You can't compare some guy who's playing on a stacked squad to something on ours. We don't have a Andre Johnson or a Adrian Foster. Makes a world of difference. |

Good point. But the Skins have so little talent that putting that 1st rounder that they trade up for in the game and he wont be able to do dick either. |

Stafford is a stud. I'd rather have him than Bradford.

When healthy yeah, I'd rather have him, but I'll take Sam most of the time over him, sam doesn't have Calvin Johnson or Pettigrew like Matt has. |

Add a true #1 WR and fill holes/add depth with the draft and free agency and there's plenty of talent for any QB to succeed. Our TEs are solid, our RBs are plenty capable and Hankerson could turn out to be very good. Moss and Gaffney at #3 and #4 are fine. No excuses. A good QB would have made a big difference with this year's talent. Becks Grossman was the problem. |

wrong thread.

Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
The Saints are just too damn good especially at home. There's gonna be a party on Bourbon tonight!

Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Detroit better beef up that D come off-season. It's horrible. Even the run defense, which is surprising seeing how good that D-line is.

Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
This is a no brainer, Fisher will go to Rams over Miami because Rams already have a franchise QB he can work with. Miami is a career ender.

Still, the inability to put anyone good on the roster at the QB position is a simple indication that the Redskins expected to be playing meaningful games right down to Week 17. For the second straight year. That's the only logical defense for not drafting someone who can play the position late in a lost season. |
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Detroit better beef up that D come off-season. It's horrible. They had no running game and an inconsistent week to week passing game. They just got manhandled up front today by the Saints OL, exposing an athletically weak secondary.

Hijack. Don't start nocking on Ford now. They didn't take any bail out money and have the best selling truck for 34 years straight. You probably drive an asian wonder car I'm sure... |
