Only in the NFL can our defense be one of the most horrible in the league yet still send 3 guys to the Pro Bowl.

Seriously tho Rak/Fletch/Hall were ballin at the PB today, and mad props to Hall for being the first Redskin that I've seen in my lifetime earn PB MVP.

Wow. Nice read.
- 1-2-3 in tackles
- Fletch with the first interception, 4 tackles
- Hall with int, fumble, fumble-TD, ,6 tackles
- Orakpo with 6 tackles

Amazing stuff. Maybe the defensive players were taking the night off given the score & ProBowl?

Hope that with some personnel changes on the D-line & LB's -- D.Hall and our secondary can start to turn around the defense. All 4 teams last Sunday had 3-4 defenses, hope this is the right move for our franchise.

Nah, I'm pretty sure the NFC had at least 20 points off turnovers. That Grimes kid made some plays too.
(Back then, there were two awards presented at the Pro Bowl: one for an offensive back, and one to a defensive lineman. Then in 1972 the award was switched for an offensive and defensive player. The following year, and every year since, only one player has been recognized as MVP
That has got to be one of the silliest if not one of the dumbest sport related facts I've ever come across. And I don't direct that at the writer of the article but rather the idiotic middle aged Caucasians that made it a fact in the first place during the 50's. It's facts like this that makes me wonder why we admit players into Canton that played before 1960 (outside of Jim Thorpe of course).

Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

Well it looks like me questioning the Redskins being represented by 3 defensive players in the probowl was pretty stupid, seeing as they probably were probably the best 3 defensive players for the NFC! So I admit stupid thing to say!

The Pro Bowl is always pretty much a joke, but it's enjoyable to watch nevertheless. I have nothing invested in it other than to be entertained, and it was quite entertaining...lol!

Hall is a playmaker, he has been since day 1 in Washington .. you can't deny the guy catches the ball and finds his way to the endzone ... love me some DeAngelo #23 .. HTTR

Don't forget this game was played very lazily. Half hearted rushes by the DLine, can't hit on extra points, its a very nonchalant game since people don't want to get hurt and its for more of having a good time than a must win for most of the players.

I saw Fletch doing a happy dance to a DHall interception. While the game may not have been a "must-win" for him, the moment encapsulated for me how much pure pleasure Fletch takes in playing the game as well as how important it is to him to win, even if it is just the Pro Bowl.

OMG did you see some of the tackling efforts by many of the defensive players???? Embarassing, but i guess if getting injured in a game like that could cost me million then i would probably ease up a little......Oh that reminds me of a player who didnt ease up at the pro bowl.............Once a year i will always remember thi and laugh my ars off!!

Right on bro! But at the same time in order to get in the Pro Bowl, a player must demonstrate an above average skill set. The game itself means nothing but the skill it takes to play in the game means everything.

The guys who represented the Redskins in the Pro Bowl are all among the best of the best.

HTTR!!!

For the life of me I can not believe anyone watched that garbage. I turned it on for 5 minutes and could barely stand it. The NFL just needs to do away with this game for two reasons. 1. It's watered down beyond belief. 2. It's painfully obvious that no one is trying, expecially the guys playing defense.

Fletcher is like that too, I saw him make 4 tackles on 5 plays at one point last night, with 3 plays in a row and the final being on a 4th down that didn't make it to the marker because of him.

I still laugh how the punter came and congratulated Taylor on that hit. :D

Oops. Well, I didn't watch it at all... And after watching that last play, I'm SO glad I didn't waste my time on it! Still, glad to see some Redskin in the highlight reel doing something good -- instead of being benched, not playing, being IR'ed, unexpectedly released.....

Bring on the draft..
