I doubt I would have posted much at all under the job. It was more of a marketing management job where I would have been responsible for overseeing all the online marketing efforts for their different social media (message boards, facebook pages, twitter, etc)

Anyways...I have lurked on ES once or twice while this site was down (please don't go down again) and left fairly quickly. It's like stopping at a NJ Turnpike rest stop. Get our ASAP, wondering why you stopped in the first place.

Has anyone had any problems even registering at ExtremeSkins?
I'm from Australia so I had to wait a while for my account to be activated over here, so I tried registering at ES too, and the verification email was never even sent to me.
Tried a couple of email addresses too.

I'm soooo glad WP isn't like ES. I give props to our mods for keeping the joint in order. I lurk there, but it's been hard sifting through the turd to get to the good stuff.

Holy necro batman. You can find a good deal of good stuff on ES, but they moderate too heavily for my tastes. Way too many bans for trivial stuff, but with the type of volume they get, I can understand it somewhat. There is only one mod over there that I've been annoyed with while scanning, and he's one of the most hypocritical douche bags I've even seen on the internet. That said, I don't even bother making an account as to temp me from posting there. Mark the Homer though has an extensive thread on the stadium, seating and tickets which is a goldmine in information.

Some of those people are just a-holes no matter what, but I find that if you talk to many of them outside of ES they're quite decent. It's like being on ES itself makes them feel obliged to have a certain type of attitude

Welcome to the Warpath.

In my opinion, ES isn't that bad. There are some jerks for mods and a few a**hole regular members, but there are also quite a few good posters. I don't go there often since this site is quite a bit better, but one time I do visit regularly is around the draft. The ES draft prospects thread is pretty informative. One knock I hear quite frequently against ES is the color scheme; and while it's not as tasty of eye-candy as the WP's, I don't think it's horrible like some say. TheHogs and hailRedskins, now, are pretty bad in that department.

I wish I had the time to read to that extent. The job used to allow me the time to read and engage alot more, but nowadays, it's like 100 mph from start to finish. Too often a 2nd-level Redskin is mentioned and I'm like "Who?".
Growing up, I could tell you every stinkin' member. Life moves too fast now.
I may not know all of them like the old days, but it's Redskins til the end.

I'm late to the party - but i've spoke of my issues with ES skins in years past.

Long story short - I am here because of the great Extreme Skins member purge of 2008.

As others have pointed out -there are some assholes and idiots that run, manage, and maintain the site.

There is a guy on there named "Zoony" who is an obvious racist and hate crime type person. He insulted another poster and insinuated that they should be either hung from a tree or drug behind a car. he said they did things like that where he was from.

I finished my tenure there after challenging him to a fight as one of my friends told me his real name and where he worked, his phone number, etc.. I still have emails from him where he tried to talk his way out of it after i messaged him with all of his personal information. I know now in hindsight he could have called the police on me but please consider that he implied inflicting harm on me, using the exact words "box my head" which is a slang term for putting me in a coffin. I'm almost positive his comments against african american folks and other minorities could be considered criminal....

I have met some folks from ES who are ok even knew one of the guys who started the board.

But it such a negative place almost all the time. Very few posters look for the positive things on the Skins and totally embrace all local media bashing of Snyder and Allen.
