Re: Jason Peters on the trade block...
As tryfuhl said -- dead for over a month. I don't like digging up old threads on the same player when new information has come available. NFLNick was dead on with what Buffalo was going to do (except he expected them to want a bit less in compensation, but I think they will drop that down some.)
Perhaps I should have done a search and posted at the end of that because it's not different enough. I know I'm not in the boat alone with being sick of topic titles being changed and having to go to page 30-35 to find the results. Over moderating is certainly a problem on that board, in my opinion. And I feel you do a majority of it Smootsmack. This thread is on me -- yet I stand by my original statement. As far as being done with the site, I rarely read or contribute to the Locker Room section anymore. I'll scan topics, then head to the off-topic forum to see if anything's new.
Just trying to make the site easier for people like you to find your way around. So the thread was over a month old, so what? That's no excuse for not using the search function. But fine, you don't want to use it and start a new thread. Ok, I get that. I'm sure I've started new threads on old topics myself. But don't go complaining about the site because you don't want to use a simple function that's here to help everybody. |
Re: Jason Peters on the trade block...
TAFKAS, I think you missed my point. I admitted I screwed up on this particular thread. I should have used the month-ish old Peters thread. It was certainly similar enough to update it with mine, and feel free to merge it. As I said, this thread was on me.
The main point is by keeping so much information, typically on a broad spectrum, in one place -- makes it much more difficult to find information. For instance, we talk about Cutler to the skins for however long that lasted. Then the articles/etc around page 30 are posted there... somewhere. Once something like that happens, I consider it time for a new thread. That's what I'm talking about. So we're clear -- I certainly screwed up on this thread, and I'll use the search this time. Speaking of search, any chance of getting the timer reduced or is it too much of a strain on the site? Regardless, this conversation isn't for this part of the forums and I'll start a thread with in the suggestion forum soon explaining exactly what I mean. |

No idea what you're talking about with the timer
The site only allows one search every 30 seconds. |

Oh. Wasn't aware of that |
Re: Jason Peters on the trade block...
On another totally off topic post, I love Javon Ringer too! If he's around in the 3rd he'd be a good pickup.

I totally agree. I also like Kory Sheets out of Purdue for a change of pace style back. He could most likely be had later than the 3rd round too. |

Good update, if that happens that eliminates the Eagles as a team rumored to move into the top 10 to get an OT |
Re: Jason Peters on the trade block...
The report has since been updated to say the deal has been accepted in principle.
|
Re: Jason Peters on the trade block...
I think this is a good move for both teams, but better for the Eagles than the Bills.
I'm pretty sure this makes the Bills likely to use the 11th pick on an OT, and far less likely to trade it. |

In honor of Daseal, maybe a new thread with this updated information is in order...care to do the honors? |
