Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
this is campbells make or break year. if he has a bad year or gets injured again there definitly be a QB controversy in DC. i really hope he can have a good season because he hasnt really had a consistent offense to learn and grow in.

Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
Redskins 14
Giants 12 giants offense looks better but cant get into the endzone and has to keep settling for field goals, our offense has a few three and outs then cooley and campbell get a rythm going, and we finish the fourth quarter with a 6 min drive capped with a winning score |

Then you woke up and realized you happened to be back on the warpath....you set your standard bar to high when arriving. I almost can't believe most of the shit I read here, I just have to keep in mind where I'm at. Breath in breath out...... REDSKINS=21 (YES AMERICAS REAL TEAM!) ggirls=20 |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
I don't see either offense scoring a TD.
Skins 13 Giants 12 The only TD comes from a Smoot fumble recovery caused by LL in the 4th quarter. |

redskins 17
giants 13 I think we need to get portis involved early and often. |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
If our O-LINE can clear room for Portis to 120 yds / 4.4 yds per carry , we win . We need to come out playing with a " us against the world " attitude on Defense and kick the snot out of Manning/Buress .

Finally, a Portis sighting on this thread. If he is healthy we should rely on him heavily for the first 5-6 games. Rest him a bit by off-loading 15 carries to Betts during our soft middle schedule then let him go fully re-charged during our last 5 games. Oh yeah, back to thread topic. Skins 24, Giants 16. Portis gets two scores early and Sellers catches one in the 3rd. Suisham hits the game winner with just under 2 minutes left. Taylor and Carter perform the next great broadway musical on Eli, "Prison Bitch". |

I don't think there is anyway we win this game. I can't believe the oddsmakers only have the line at 3 1/2.

So do I. Either way meaning he is very inconsistent or get hurts, there will be rumbling about whether or not to give the kid a shot. Damn, this crap happens too often in DC. |

Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
I didn't see any of the pre-season games but can anwer that question. It is simple, it is PRE-SEASON. Sometimes I feel the only people who actually take pre-season seriously are the people on this site. I remember Spurrier's first year. The Skins first offense looked like a well oiled machine in its first pre-season game and some here thought you had the second coming of the 99 Rams.
Normally, I completely agree with you... the preseason means pretty much nothing to predict how teams will do in the regular season. But! I did see all 5 preseason games and it was fairly shocking to see how the offense was so in sync the first 3 games and in the final 2 games they looked like a high school offense out there. As for the optimism... I'll be optimistic once the Skins show it on the field. I want to see them play consistent and good, and cut out most of the dumb playing. I want to seem them play good, not just talk about it. |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
The last couple of years Antonio Pierce has been able to read our offense and know every play. This new offense will be an advantage for the Skins. I like the fact that Santana is healthy and Cooley will have a big game.
This game will come down to a field goal. |

CP over 120 yds rushing - 1 td rushing 1 td receiving.. Interceptions or fumble returned for a TD by our defense.. Two field goals.. LOL |

If you add our yds for Portis ,,, 240 yds ,,,, sounds even better :) I really think or OL is the key , they clear room for CP & Betts , we control the tempo/clock and JC gets time to find some open recievers downfield . The last time the NY G's had an ass whipping , we gave it to them . |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
I think it will be a low scoring game no offense i think Eli returns to old self making bad decisions and I think we can't move the ball good either.

cambell fumbles twice gets sacked five times and throws two picks.were screwed we need todd collins big time. Its like im the only one that watched the last 5 games from last year. collins makes very few mistakes he moves the ball he wins you games and you put jason back in there why???

So they have good drugs in Ca., we all know that. Have you seen how well Todd has apparently picked up on this new WCO, like a turtle running a marathon? And if JC were to get sacked 5 times that would mean TC would get sacked what.....10? |

This game will come down to a field goal.
Great point about the new offense being an advantage, ChillWill. I also feel having Blache as the DC helps too. So while the G-Strings will be familiar with our personnel, they have to adjust to a whole new set of tendencies. Matty, you're right about these chicken littles around here posing as Skins fans. I've had my cup of Kool-Aid so... I saw the Redskins struggling to adapt to the WCO initially, but the first 15 plays of Zorns script include an end around pass for Randle El, a halfback screen for Portis, and a deep pass to Moss. Quite simply, Zorn lets the guys loose. All the talent that we've been raving about for years comes to the forefront. The system doesn't matter, its still about getting open, catching the ball, and making plays. HTTR |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
I'm usually pretty optimistic, but I don't have a good feeling about this year at all. This game could be very bad.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
I can't remember a prediction thread with this many people picking our opponents. Did everybody forget that we are the last team to beat the Giants and it was in NY and if Joe Gibbs wasn't so conservative we probably could have ended the Giants season in the third week last year. The presason has really messed some people up. Ask yourselves this. What if Jim Zorn is smarter than you give him credit for and hasn't shown anything this preseason for a reason?
What is your deal with bashing JC all the time???? Did he not sign an autograph for you or something?? My god...
I'm not bashing him, I just see the writing on the wall.. and I'm sick and tired of the excuses about him not having enough playing time. Sorry, but he doesn't have what it takes IMO.... BUT having said that I'm hoping I'm wrong and he does get better for the sake of the Skins. And No, I didn't get his autograph.. I didn't ask for it. My son got Collins and Brennan's. |
Re: Redskins/Giants Predictions
G-men 30
Skins 24 G-men win partly because we are still sorting out our new offensive system and it will be a night full of emotion because the Giants are going to be at home for the first time since they won the Superbowl. |

I don't think that's the case at all. The preseason is for evaluating, and while you can get a glimpse of things in practice the only way to really evaluate players is during games. Some guys just make plays, hence the love affair with Colt Brennan. I think Zorn is smart enough to get his playmakers the ball in a position to make plays. He wasn't able to do that in the last two preseason games with the 1st teamers, but I'm sure he will figure it out sooner rather than later. |
