I agree. You can't police what these guys do with their down time. Personally I wouldn't act like that but it's his choice. |

I understand your point. He's not breaking the law as long as those girls are over 21. And sometimes we forget that a lot of these guys are in their mid 20's. God knows if I were in my mid 20's and had that kind of $ and fame I'd probably be doing much worse than that. But I guess I would expect an NFL QB to be a little more responsible. If he wants to do stuff like that fine. Just make sure you don't have somebody taking pictures. |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Don't have a problem with a single guy his age in a hot tub full of chicks. The beer bong pic is what probably got him in hot water (no pun intended).
With YouTube, cameras, etc...young pro athletes have to keep their guard up. Like someone said earlier, they need to make sure cameras and phones are left at the door. |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
The thing that gets me about this whole thing is it states that these pictures were taken at his home. So he's having fun on his property, not on someone else's where he can drive home drunk, but in the privacy of his home. It's a shame that someone partaking in the fun as well had to hang him out to dry.

Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Orton is a disgrace to drunk QB's everywhere. What did he ever win? I don't see any Super Bowl titles or BCS rings with his name on it. Kyle Orton can't even drink right, unless he's developed some method where he can absorb alcohol through his shirt.
Either way these pic's should server as a messge to the Bears, if he starts a whole season he'll probably throw more INT's then Rex Grossman. I mean seriously the guy can't even put a drink in his mouth how the hell is he going to hit a reciever? On a side note, I wonder which Redskin would be the most fun to party with. My money is on Cooley or Portis. Campbell on the other hand probably throws some sick wine tasting parties.
ugh.... I might be inclined to say that Fred Smoot threw at least one good party, some may feel otherwise, like the other boaters on the lake who got the show |

But that's how people are these days. It's sad but you've really got to watch it when you're famous. |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
The only difference in todays NFL and years back is that this would have been what the party looked like on Saturday night before the game on Sunday.

Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Given the other/bigger problems that some NFL players have had lately, I think this is pretty tame. Is it what I would want to see my QB doing? No. Would I act this way in his position? Probably not. Is it his right to behave this way? Absolutely.
I will say however that this type of partying behavior is pretty much what I expect from Matt Leinart. He's just never struck me as being about the football first.......always seemed like an immature party-boy first and a professional QB second. |

Warner is simply a better QB than Leinart. |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Leinart is their future, they've got to hand it over to him at some point to see if he's the real deal. He's entering his 3rd year, time to play.

Actually as long as the player doesn't drive home drunk I would rather it not be at the players home. Lets say somewhere at the party is under 21 and gets served at his house - wouldn't Leinhart be in trouble because it is at his house and therefore his reposnsiblibity that noone under the legal age is being served on his premises? |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Apparently, more than a few of these youung ladies have Myspace pages that list their ages as under 21. While I won't pretend that's a capital offense, anyone famous who has his picture taken working a beer bong for a 19 year old is a moron.

Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
I would think if I was a goodlooking NFL qb I would have better looking girls over at my house than THAT!
|
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
and for the record, Leinert lost me when he ratted out his friend on PUNKD
|
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
If he wanted to get drunk he should have atleast not allowed cameras, or pay off people so they don't say anything, it's just another issue that Roger Goodell will try to address.
|
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
I would assume Favre would be considered to have worse problems as far as alcohol, and he didn't do too badly.
As far as the best Redskin to party with, that would have to be Smoot. His parties come with all amenities included! |

Dude that looks pretty good to me...have you seen Randy Moss wife..compared to her these girls are victoria secret models. |

F the media for flipping out for now reason. If it is illegal to bong bears with hotties, I should be in jail. he should have told the girls to leave the cameras at the door, but then again they probably just want to hang with him to take pictures and prove to their stupid srat sisters how totally in they are. |

Myspace, destroying lives everywhere! |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
Because there's nothing special about them? They're dime a dozen in Kirkland, WA.
And you get with them often, I presume? :confused- |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
If I were paying this guy or I was his coach I'd have a MAJOR problem with this. I mean he's giving the girl a beer bong. I did that shit in HS. He's grown man and an NFL QB who represents a professional team. Act the part. You would never see JC and many other pro QB's acting like that. You can't be doing dumb crap like that cause it makes everyone look bad. What if the girl choked on the beer and passed out? Then he would have a problem on his hands. It probably wouldn't have happened but that's the stuff you've got to think about when your a professional athlete.
Now on a side note I hope like hell he banged a few of those chicks.
Paranoid much? He's a young guy, no big deal as long as he's taking care of himself. You think players don't drink, party, etc? |
Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
This is more of a product of today's media oversaturation than anything he did wrong.. He hosted a party at his own home where there was alcohol served.. What's the big deal?? Because he hasn't been as successful as may have been expected that means he's not allowed to have any fun?

Re: Leinart - in trouble for THIS?
It's not exactly the kind of situation you want one of your more recognizable players to be in. It's embarrassing to the franchise. Is it a huge deal? No. But I can see where the Cardinals might not be too pleased about it.

Pleased no. However this should not be punishable imo. |
