Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
It all comes down to this simple fact. We don't turn the ball over, we win. We turn the ball over three times or more, we lose. Eliminate the turnovers and we win out.

Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer

Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
Because when we win or lose, there are several people on this site who discuss the pros and cons without shitting on every single thing the Redskins did including vindicating the Refs by stating that they didn't affect the game in anyway. When the Redskins lose, threads from people I've never heard of all of a sudden begin to pontificate on the reasons we loss like that woman reporter from Washington Post. If your're here during the good and the bad times then I'm not talking about you. It's that simple.
I said the refs' calls were fair (even if they MIGHT have been wrong). I'm not sure if you're post was directed my way. But, I haven't said anything "negative" about the Redskins other than that they could not generate a pass rush from the front four. By the way, fairweather fans don't hang around after a loss....hence the "fairweather." |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
I like the call on 3rd and 2 for the Portis Run, but Portis and O-line and responsible for not being able to make the yardage. That should've been made, and there was no reason for TB to get the ball back.

Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
Chris Simms looks like Firemarshall Bill from In Living Color.
So sad we made him to look so good. Didn't Vandy make him look good too? |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
If you give any QB in this league time, chances are he'll pick you apart.
The Bucs did a great job in picking things up, it seemed like whenever someone was coming free a back would chip or get a cut block in. And you've gotta give Simms some credit, he stood tall and made nice throws all day. |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
I said in another thread that you have to give the Bucs some credit. They picked everything up. And when they did.....Simms was smart enough to go downfield and they made big plays.
We need Griffin and Taylor back asap!!!!! |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
Simms played to his potential. He has the tools and talent to be a good quarterback. Not having Griffin and Taylor hurt, however that is no excuse for getting burned several times in the secondary, when everyone knows that the primary target on that damn offense is Galloway. He should have been doubled all damn day.
As far as overreacting, beemnseven, you are doing that. Every dog has his day, and Simms just happen to have his against the Redskins. That'll happen. However, you stretch to say a true fan overreacts to a loss. A loss is what is is...a loss. You learn from the mistakes and move on. The entire team made mistakes yesterday and the ultimate price paid is the loss. I won't overreact because the Skins showed me the heart yesterday. To comeback from 14-3, and 21-10, and be in it til the very end...this scenerio doesn't play out the last few years. This team will be pumped up and ready to go against the Raiders this weekend, and this loss just fires them up even more. However, Simms by no means played like a hall of famer. 51% completion, 279 yards, 3 TDs isn't HOF Caliber. The last 3 weeks, he's thrown for 264, 259 and 279. It's simply playing to potential. |

You and mooby call it overreacting, others call it bitching, pontificating, I call it blowing off steam after a gut-wrenching loss. Now that I've had a really good night's sleep, I'm over it. On with the Raiders. |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
I was meering using your title to counteract...whether figurative or not.
Never said it was a crime to overreact either. You make mention of being a true fan, one has to overreact, and again, I used your words to counteract. No hard feelings, just stating opinion. I believe we have a can of whoop-ass with Oakland's name on it. It better get opened this weekend. |

Simms has a long way to go before they are carving his bust in Canton. ;) |
Re: Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer
Chris Simms is playing Firemarshall Bill on In Living Color's 15th anniversary show!!! And well whenever he's on the tv!
No Canton for this guy. Unless maybe they don't have a Ford dealership there yet. |
