Re: Wtf?
Like I said, this loss can't be blamed on one particular player. This was a team loss. Wasn't just Brunell's, Portis', or Lavar's. I'm sure people will find a way to blame it one one of the three, but the team as a whole didn't show up to play.
Sure it is.....you always blame the superstars for let downs.... |
Re: Wtf?
I think the team bus drove through a wormhole and the offense found themselves in 2004... The defense missed the bus entirely.

Re: Wtf?
I'm just glad it was one week. Yuk!!! I was watching with a friend and we always watch to the bitter end. But I left his house mid-way thru the 3rd QTR. I was obvious at that point it was not going to get any better.

Re: Wtf?
The players really should give their paycheck back or donate it to charity for this game.
I know I was calling to remain calm regardless of the outcome today and to some extent I am, but I never envisoned such a pitiful performance today. |

Re: Wtf?
Each game the Skins lose, I should be able to take one paycheck from a player of my choice. What can I say, I'm trying to buy a house! :)

Re: Wtf?
glad its over, at 19-0 i already got over the shock... man i hope they get this fixed fast.

Re: Wtf?
Is this the worst loss (performance-wise) in years? We've had some bad ones, but even our crappy teams never played this horrible in all facets of the game like this one.

Re: Wtf?
No team beats the Redskins like the Redskins.
I am sure that would be nice if it were true, but it isn't. You did not have any success at stopping the run. None. Thirty-six points for the Giants. You offense appeared to play as if they had money on the Giants. Zero points for the Redskins. You didn't beat yourselves, the Giants beat you, now you have Philly next week I believe. How is this team going ot respond? |
Re: Wtf?
I'm all for the Redskins giving away their checks this week. I think Ryan Clark should be exempt as well as Hall. Everyone else should pass on the check and forward them to someone who works hard when it needs to happen. This week perhaps forward the checks to the Broncos and Niners. The team will rebound next week in Prime Time. Not to worry, not to worry there is a new fiesta in the making...

Re: Wtf?
:biggthump pass the checks to the officials

Re: Wtf?
All I want to say is this was an anomaly. No way in hell this happens again. One factor too many ex-Redskins on the Giants. Two I think our run defense was exposed again we've all saw the break out runs starting with Shaun Alexander. thanks Wellington Mara now the next time we play the giants Eli is dinner. They were getting to him at the beginning but that sweep left play we couldnt stop it. Walt harris was a mismatch on Plax and he missed a sack and wiffed on one of the big runs for Tiki ran right past him he was unblocked. And the referees kept giving everything to the giants wouldnt let us get in a rhythm. Let's move on. Now singing gloom and doom just yet.

Re: Wtf?
I think that the Giants were way more inspired due to the loss of Mara, and we just came out flat. The guys came out too lax. They beat up on a weak San Fran team, and their egos were boosted. Its funny how all of a sudden LaVar, Brunnell, and Portis need to leave this week, and after an emotional win next week, we're so proud of them. Fans here need to stop being so fickle. We messed up bad this week, so what? We go to practise and work hard and come out ready for the Beagles. The world is not over, its still early in the season, and we have a ton of football left. One loss does not mean we need a team overhaul
Absolutely agree Jamaican. Fact is, we got outplayed. Every single guy on our defense missed tackles. Everybody on our offensive line got beat. Brunell was terrible, the WRs were terrible, Cooley put forth a good effort but still fumbled. We just got beat in every aspect of the game. But none of this changes the fact that it is still just one loss. That's it, just one loss. The Eagles got killed yesterday by a team that we hung around all day, the Bucs lost to a team we just beat by 35 points............should those teams pack it up for the season and start calling for the dismissal of players or coaches? Of course not........and neither should we. The players got embarrassed yesterday and they should be pissed off about that. So, it's time to focus that anger on beating the Eagles and breaking T.O. in half. |
Re: Wtf?
That's what happen's when your measuring stick is the 49'ers, Tiki ran for a carreer high against a top rated defense, while Clinton did nothing against one of the worst rated defenses in the NFL, no doubt who the better back is, although I believe Clinton would take Tiki in a cartwheel contest.
Allstar Lavar really made a huge difference today as well, what a playmaker, the guy can't even make a routine tackle, Shockey went through him like a hot knife through butter, and is it me or did all the Giants big runs go right through his area? Here's my all packup team, as in they should pack their things and hit the road. Samuels Lavar Portis
The Washington playcallers made no attempt to get Portis going. That was apparent by the fact that he got FOUR carries yesterday. On top of the fact that he got a stinger, early in the first quarter. Samuels got hurt early and didn't return. The only sack the he was directly responsible for was the one where Brunell had a good 4 or 5 seconds to get rid of the ball and didn't. Yes, LaVar slipped off of Shockey, but Shockey's not exactly a weakling. And actually, he wasn't even on the field for the long runs, and guess who was severely out of position on the second run? Yeah... Holdman. |
Re: Wtf?
How come Chad Morton is soo pumped up as a Giant? As a Redskin this guy was sooo low key / lethargic - I used to fall asleep during his runbacks. What's the deal here ...?
