joe what a great post.ive been a fan alittle longer than you,and its nice to have a coach again that actually gets the whole nfl thing.
Thanks. And just for the record - I've been a fan since 1972 and SB VII (I was 9 years old).

well, i've been a fan for almost five years now. Then again, that's not as good as some of you but hey, I'm still proud, despite the fact that I've never seen the Skins go to the playoffs.

On both of SF's big runs, it looked like the LB on that side of the field overran the play and got buried by blockers, leaving open field in his wake. Was it Lavar both times? If so, I take Coach Gibbs at his word when he says Lavar is a work in progress. The plays didn't matter given the score, but they might be killers in a closer game.

PS That was my first post and of course I put it in the wrong thread. Oh well, you can take the boy out of New Jersey ... anyway, Coach Gibbs rules and always did and always will.

nic clemons (3rd stringer) was out of position on the BIG run, lavar wasn't in the game at that point.

On the 14yard TD run he was in position taking up blockers as he was supposed to and the free tackler didn't make the play (from the fox analysis immediately after the game).
