Re: Commanders 2025 NFL Draft Thread
It's shocking that when you actually make the playoffs and advance far, the draft doesn't seem that far off! :D

Re: Commanders 2025 NFL Draft Thread
I recently came across some detailed information on the players in the draft who have been interviewed by the Commanders. There were approximately 290 individual players interviewed. Most of the players were interviewed at least twice. Trying to confirm in my own mind the positions the team are most focused on in this draft, I looked at how many players in each position group were interviewed three or more times, thinking there may be some correlation. This is what I found: RB-5, WR-5, OT-4, Edge-4, CB-2, K-2, LB-1, QB-0, OG-0, TE-0, DT-0. FWIW, it looks as if there may be some sketchy correlation on the SWAG Scale.

I was afraid that someone would ask me that question. Nah, not really. I'd be happy to tell you the names and even a little information about them. It may be a few days before I can get around to it. I thought when I looked into each player a little that what the Commanders are looking for in the draft seemed to get a bit more specific. It caused me to wish that we had more draft picks because I'm not sure we can get much done with the number of picks we have. Can you tell I'm retired? Yes, I'm retired, analytical, and I love the Commanders. |

Re: Commanders 2025 NFL Draft Thread
I imagine myself saying, I won't drink beer during the draft all the way up until the day before. Then drink beer all night Thursday and then Peters trades back to the 2nd round, so we don't end up making our pick. I actually like the idea in theory. But will probably not seem as cool the day-of.

It's interesting to see how the team spent a good amount of time with RBs/WRs as those are not necessarily high in our priority list. I do like Jayden Higgins though. |
