I hate comparisons. Especially ones that have like 25 years separating them. But here i go. It is such a different game. BB and BP were a combination of Coaches you will never see again. Taylor had a really great complimentary team around him.

After 41 games LT had 28 sacks. After 33 games Parsons has 26.5.
On pace to beat his mark at 41 games no doubt.

Revisit this conversation in ten years.
Parsons dominating just like LT did so far. So far. They are extremely similar except for one thing….LT dominated for a long time. But so far Parsons is on track.

Just curious for people who say that he isn’t LT, and the comparisons were silly, what hasn’t Parsons done to make you a believer?

Bout as stupid as Scott Rolen getting inducted into the Hall.

I am really praying for a SF win this weekend. I think now I’m rooting for the Chiefs to win it all. Eli Apple is just a douche and I hope he gets burned over and over.

Should be two really good games. Pretty excited.

He hasn't played long enough.

He may end up being great. He's on a great pace overall, but will OCs figure him out, and take him out of the equation? That doesn't happen to dudes like LT. LT was they guy OCs knew they had to have a plan for, and it didn't matter. Is Parsons that guy? Maybe, but it's just too early. He had 12 sacks through 11 games this year, then he had 1.5 sacks the next six games. Why?

He may be the next LT, or he may be the next LA (Lavar Arrington), but right now it's too early to tell, and the comparisons are silly as you said.

I guess I have to root for the Chiefs as well (not because of my handle ;)), I have a lot of friends who are Chiefs fans as I used to live in KS.

Hoping for SF vs KC, but Patrick picked the wrong time of the year to get that high ankle sprain...

Not sure why the drop off. I don’t think you can figure out speed and strength. Could have just been scheming I know they move him around alot. He has amazing speed and amazing strength for a LB just like LT. I would give up the farm to have him playing behind our D line. He would have 20 sacks a year.

I am also rooting for SF and KC but unfortunately I think Philly and Cincy will win fairly easily.

Purdy didn't look good last week and McCaffery wasn't the same after tweaking his leg. Philly at home is going to be too much for SF and wins easily, maybe by over 2 TDs.

Cincy's D is really good and since Mahommes isnt 100% I think he will be kept in control. For whatever reason, Cincy seems to play well against KC. This game will be closer but the outcome will never be in doubt.

I don't think anything will come easy against that SF defense.

SF is going to make Hurts beat them passing, I don't think he can all game.

SF WINS BY 3

it changes week to week, cincy barely squeaked by BAL with their back up QB

i think they will both be good games

i am going 49ers vs cincy for the SB

Right now I'd lean Cincy and SF. Both in tight games.

If SF was at home I think the Niners have a shot but this game is in Philly and Purdy hasn't ever seen anything like he's going to see in Philly on Sunday.

@AdamSchefter
Former Colts’ HC Frank Reich is being named the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Reich now returns to the franchise he quarterbacked in 1995.
