Not ready to crown #14 quite yet but he definitely showed be belongs. He threw a couple of great deep balls, used his legs well. Turner was awful once again, way too much running on first down and stupid ass gimmick play calling at the wrong time. Howell deserves a shot to compete for the job next year.
Dude!!He beat the might playoff bound cowboys, if Turner didn't handcuff his ass he would have been much better. He's our #1 QB moving forward and talk of signing another FA flop should stop, if anything draft another mid-round QB. Build the OL around Howell is what they need to do, Brob, Gibson, Howell our TE's and WR's there's your firepower. Howell=Joey T. part 2 |
Re: Sam howell takes Down Dallas postgame
I guess Dak set his sleep number to pick 6. I honestly thought they'd shit smear the ex-redskins today, but you gotta playem all. I fn love Forrest. D held that shit show together give them all game ballz.

Re: Sam howell takes Down Dallas postgame
I think the first 3 quarters was a really crampy game. Washington got some real breaks that helped them. The 4th quarter was great. I wish they would get rid of Turner but he is one of Riveras favorites so I doubt it will happen unless Washington gets rid of Rivera. I wish for that too. I can't complain too much because Washington won. Any win over Dallas, especially crashing their play-off dreams, is reason to celebrate.

Howell showed he obviously has more upside than either of the other 2 guys. Wentz is absolutely gone. I think it's better if Heinicke leaves too. Not because he did anything wrong. But he's not a starter either and he might be used as a security blanket next year. Give me Howell, a mid-round pick for competition, and a cheap solid vet that knows his job is to be No. 2 on gamedays. And possibly a starter if someone gets hurt. |
howell looked good for sure, 1st passing TD, 1st rushing TD, 1st win, and we even got over 20 points (thanks dallas!) The sample size is still small and they ran a lot today, but he ran well and he had some accurate bombs, which is encouraging. Unless Tom brady is coming here, I'd rather roll the dice on him w/ TH as a backup (assuming no one wants to pay him) vs getting another retread like carr, and drafting a QB if it's a good value pick.
This. Howell‘s ball placement is fantastic! I hope he will work with the receivers during off season, it will help. |

No no no.
Qb in round 1 no matter what. |

Howell is 1-0 vs Dallas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I watched every play. Howell looked as good as a rookie QB could look with Rivera, Turner, and our OL. He took a hit he didn't need to. And he started sliding after that. He threw a terrible pick. Can't justify that one, but I'm sure he'd say the same. Other than that, he looked pretty damn good to me. |
No no no.
Qb in round 1 no matter what.
We aren’t in the position to draft top QBs. It’s foolish to force the pick when there are valuable players on the board. |

Qb in round 1 no matter what.
Even if it's a reach? I don't agree with no matter what. Especially after Howell played pretty damn good. |

Howell=Joey T. part 2
I think the defense had most to do / the W. You can't just hand him the job after one start, he has to earn it. But he no doubt should be given every opportunity to win it. I think he has to compete w/ someone. Who that someone is is the question. But I'm not bringing in another high priced retread a la Carr. We have to get out of doing that. |

Ron you fuck up and should be blamed for not making the playoffs

Re: Sam Howell takes Down Dallas postgame
This team has more talent than the Dolphins as a whole and GB as a whole especially on offense but QB play killed us in those 8 losses

Qb in round 1 no matter what.
I just don't see that happening. I'm fine with drafting a QB in the 4th or 5th round. Those first two picks need to be starters- hopefully. |
