Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
Dotson is a rookie and hasn't caught one NFL pass. Brown pretty much the same. Samuel is king of the cold tub. Sims is pretty much Marko Mitchell. McLaurin is the only guy who you can count on right now at wr.
TE is murky at best. RB looks pretty good. Best since the Cousins years if everything goes to plan. Big if. If you look around the division we are still behind the Eagles and Dallas when it comes to skill guys. |

TE is murky if Logan Thomas can’t rebound from injury. But again I like the injection of youth there. I’m optimistic with what I see and the recent results of guys like Terry, Thomas, AG and JD. |
Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
A lot of potential on paper, but games aren't played on paper. They're played in TV sets.

Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
I think at RB we are or were are more than good. There was no need for the Robinson pick in the 3rd round. For what you're going to ask him to do you can find that guy in the 6th or 7th round, or UFA. AG is still your lead back w. the most potential. The fumbling issue can be fixed. I'm giving AG the ball 18-20 times, 15 carries and 3-5 passes a game. I'm giving McKissick 5-7 carries and another 5-6 passes. If you do that you are going to get serious production if the line holds. Where does Robinson fit in? Goaline? Short yardage? If so then again, you don't draft that guy to do that in the 3rd. Go get a Peyton Barber type out on the street.
I know people were down on AG but he still got 1,300 yards combined and 10 td's on a team w/ no QB and a so so line. |
Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
I feel Turner should split out AG out and isolate him and let him go to work on LB's one on one. Let him run some wr routes a couple times a game and get that mismatch. I don't recall Turner doing that.

Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
Drafting a 3rd rd RB tells us a lot about what Ron things of AG. Fumbling and durability have been issues with him. I don't think Ron is totally sold on AG. Plus it's a two lead back league these days. If you watch some highlights on Robinson you can see he's much more than just a short yardage back.

Gibson is still learning the RB Position, we forget he was a WR in college. His vision isn't very good but he does have big time playmaking potential. I think they should use him in that Deebo role |
Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
Ron had nowhere to go with AG when he fumbled last year. Patterson too green and could t produce same results and JD can’t be expected to shoulder a load running the ball.
Robinson gives the team more options and brings that short yardage piece we missed last year |

I know people were down on AG but he still got 1,300 yards combined and 10 td's
And benched during the season...he also got benched. So I think that speaks to about how confident rr is with him. I like Gibson...but its hard to be a fan of someone who fumbles as much as he does and at the worst possible times. I said halfway through the year that rb had def turned unto a position of need for us....and here we are. Robinson will be our started by week 5. Gibson will give us the ability to have some tricky 2 back sets with a pass threat always imminent. I think that will be Gibsons role moving forward. |
Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
I think Gibson and Robinson will split time which will keep them fresh and make our running game more effective. This is another way to help Wentz to be as productive as possible.

Re: Best Offensive Skill Talent Since When?
This will be Gibson's third year as a pure RB and yet he already showed some flashes. While I agree with you all regarding the fumbles issue and possibly injuries (still kinda early for this), we need to give Gibson a chance to prove himself this year. I expect to see good things from him this year.

I think Gibson deserves one more chance to prove himself, now that we have better QB play. I think in terms of production, he was definitely affected by the low quality QB play we had. I don't know I would pin the fumbles on that though, but I feel that teams were always playing the run. I think this is a make or break year for him. |

.
Not having an Oline will derail those plans. KC(2016) had TW, Lavaou(SP?), Long, Scherff, Moses blocking for him. This line just does not compare. Screen plays all day to help slow the pass rush. |
