Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I mean one of the "booms" is he's compared to DeMarcus Ware, and then a bust is he's only done so much against good competition. But I mean Ware played in the Sun Belt Conference so across the board his competition wasn't the elite of the NCAA.
My preference is move down and get more picks, but at #10 I'm perfectly fine with him
You take him over AJ Green or Prince at 10? |
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I'd rather nab Cam Jordan or JJ Watt.
But if the powers that be think that Quinn is our guy, I will not complain at all. |

Yeah. The more I see of Prince, I probably even take Jimmy Smith over him if not for his character concerns. don't get me wrong, I think Prince is solid but maybe not at 10. And I'm never really too keen on going WR high. |
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I think green is the WR bust of 2011
|
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I'd be rather diasappointed if we take Quinn At #10. I hope we get a trade partner so we can move down, secure Jake Locker in the teens then use the additional pick gathered on DL (like Cam Heyward, Stephen Paea, etc.) or OLB (Justin Houston, Brooks Reed, etc.)..........that would thrill me.

Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
^ both have bust all over them
|
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I mean who really doesn't have bust written over them? You can probably make a case for just about any draft pick potentially being a bust
|
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
I agree, and the fact that we've seen tons of "sure things" end up being busts really tells you everything.
|
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
ok so quinn is a projection. He has only played in the 4 -3 defense. The thing is that we need players that will fit our defense for sure. if were stuck at ten lets take watt or jordan. Prince Amukamara wouldn't be bad either. If we trade down to 14 - 17 where most trade projections have us lets take ryan kerrigan or aldon smith. Defense First round

Cam Jordan appears to be a solid, high-character, good work ethic player. There are no sure things, of course, but one reason why I've beaten his drum is that he seems like one of the safer picks. Put differently: good defenses begin up front. However, our defense is weakest up front and not just at NT. From this, the math seems simple: use the 10 pick up front. |
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
Browns and Niners have been the two teams most frequently associated with Quinn (above us, that is). Hearing now we may need to throw the Cardinals into that mix.

Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
^ so where would miller go ? That would be a great pick at 10!
|
Re: Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?
If Carolina takes Cam, Bills could take Miller. Or Cardinals may take Miller and Browns take Quinn (Browns supposedly have Green and Quinn 1-2 on their chart, but I'm not totally buying that).

Von Miller would go to the Browns if Arizona decides to go QB. On a slightly seperate note hopefully a CBA can get done before the draft so we can send McNabb to Minnesota. Wish Arizona was in that mix to, but in looking at Cardinal message boards and articles, the Cardinals brass has no interest in McNabb. |
