I agree with whoever it was in here that said players should not be allowed in nightclubs per their contract agreement.
This, in my opinion is a no brainer. NFL Clubs should ban players from being in nightclubs. Nothing good ever happens there. Why can't people understand that? Its just another thing in the NFL that needs changed. Nightclubs represent the bad part of society, the criminal element and all that, that the NFL is trying to distance itself from.
I think my signature says what I feel. We cannot expect to limit anyone's rights. |

I can't imagine why someone would have to pull a weapon on BB. Maybe his friend is huge or something. B#tch move IMO.
Just make call girls legal. Doing so could save countless millionaire athletes. In other news everyone needs to find this guy and beat the crap out of him. We only have so few quality players on this team. We don't need douchebag "wannabe gangstas" stabbing our star kick returner. |
Re: brandon banks injured at dc nightclub
NFL players are HUGE targets when they go to clubs. Both for good and bad reasons. I remember the old Raiders center "Barrett Robins" use to hang out at a local sports bar where I live. He would just stand in the middle of the dance floor with 2 beers smiling from cheek to cheek. And once people caught wind of who he actually was, people would swarm him for autographs, 30+ year old guys, who would become infuriated whenever he turned down their autograph requests. He had something against signing autographs, but he would be more than happy to buy you a beer instead.
Eventhough he wasn't there to pick up on women like a lot of the young players are, however girls still swarmed the guy. And the funny thing was, he would dress in an old t shirt, old levi's, and looked like he was a plummer, not a multi-millionaire center. That didn't stop the girls from flocking, because they knew his money was long. A lot of guys would get mad, because the girls they wanted attention from would shower Barrett with the attention. But he was to big to for anyone to say something to. So he never had problems. However the potential and jealousy were definitely there. |
You don't get out much....do you?
Last time I checked we still live in the good ol USA. Limiting peoples rights is not the way to go.
Its got nothing to do with limiting people's rights. Back when Ben Roethlisberger had his 2006 motorcycle accident, Terry Bradshaw told Ben wisely to save that kind of stuff for when he retires. I realize that NFL clubs already limit what players are allowed to do, and the bottom line is going to nightclubs are dangerous and almost always leads to trouble. You cant tell me that an NFL player going to a nightclub is a good thing. Even if the player is innocent and just there for a good time, there are plenty of things that can and usually do go wrong for the player. It's just not a good thing. Let's make a compromise. NFL Players can still be allowed to go to clubs, but there should be a rule that if the player is involved in any kind of trouble at all, then the NFL Club should be able to investigate, and suspend or release the player in question if they find that they did something wrong. Too many of these guys are finding themselves in all kind of hairy situations and no trouble follows. Examples: Haynesworth(out getting drunk the night before practice, complete with photos and witness descriptions), Pac Man Jones, Vince Young....those guys i feel got off easy.... They all were repeated offenders before any discipline followed. Especially PacMan Jones. The NFL needs some kind of rule about nightclubs, somehow they can work it out to be fair... |

True, and I'm taking my comments back.. Although I feel like someone should step in and do something about this.. Every year, we always hear about something happening to players at nightclubs.. It is just ridiculous. |
