Does anyone remember back in 07 I think when we beat the bears, and that week JLC did a comparison of the two teams since 04. That was when Gibbs came back & I think when Angelo took over as GM of the bears.

JLC noted that the bears strategy was to build through the draft & reward their players first, but keep $ on players down. HE pointed out several differences from the skins, w/his main point being; Chicago's GM had built a winner & the skins were mediocre while spending lots more.

JLC was right, and this last year in Chicago kind of reaffirms that. They tried the get rich quick scheme. For now it's not working, but Cutler is talented. Maybe he'll come through for them as he matures. I'm not holding my breath though.

(Also, funny that the writer didn't even mention that they signed Loyd & Arch!)

When a team sucks for the better part of 20 years and an organization shows such disregard towards building a winning program they deserve to get slammed. Every other company, govt branch, etc does.
