It wasn't "dirty". Dirty means he went low and didn't care if he hurt him or not. I don't think you can draw the conclusion that he had any clue at all what he was doing. He just went low like a QB who hasn't actually had to block someone in 30 years would.

He clearly went low, and he clearly looked at the guy and picked his spot. as for whether he cared if he hurt him, did he go over to see, no, cuz he didn't care. He got up, looked quickly over and walked off. Can't see how anyone sees that as a clean hit under current rules. If you want to argue the rules are too soft, ok, I agree. But under current rules that will be called every time, and I bet he gets a pretty nice fine also.

No I agree it was an illegal block. I just don't see it as "dirty". Dirty to me means you do it knowing you could it hurt the guy and you could have done it a different way but it was funner or easier to do the illegal way. I just think he didn't know what else to do. He's not going to engage the guy with his arms.

Edit: Now if he does it again...then that's dirty. He should know better and be more prepared now.

I guess to me it looked like he knew what he was doing, and took the cheap shot. But that is reading alot into his body motions, so I agree it was illegal, and if he were to do it more often, then a) maybe it was dirty, and b) his coach should be fined for putting a 40year old man out there like that. ;)

Excuses...please...you don't need to be a genius to know that you simple don't block low like that. Everyone that knows football knows you don't go after the legs of somebody and he clearly did. Hope he gets the same treatment and have his career ended with a nice little parting gift.

Well it depends on the QB...when it happened to Carlson Palmer it wasn't that big of a deal, when it happened to Brady it was national disaster apparently.
