FedEx field might not be brand new, but until Dallas and NYG/J finish theire stadiums, it's still the LARGEST in the NFL. Skins aren't moving anywhere for quite a while. probably 15 years or so.
Yeah I didn't mean to imply it would have any major impact on the majority ownership of the team. Just that it will be interesting to see who might emerge as another minority owner. First names that would come to mind are Leonsis and Gibbs...neither of whom I think would be the guys quite honestly.
I don't think Gibbs has that kind of money. But that would be pretty cool if it happened. |
Re: Report: Redskins Minority Owner Fred Smith Looking to Buy Rams
what amazes me is how in the world are the rams worth 929 million. the preception i get is no one really cares about the rams unless they're winning. stl is a baseball town.

Re: Report: Redskins Minority Owner Fred Smith Looking to Buy Rams
I highly doubt the Skins will get a new football stadium in DC. Remember just a few years ago the District just ponied up over $600 million for the new Nationals Stadium, so I don't think it would go over too well (especially in the down economy we are in) if the District ponied up another $1 billion for a new Skins stadium.
Also, while it would be more accessible and friendly to fans if a new stadium was built near a metro, remember how much money Synder is pulling in with parking revenue every year - so putting a new stadium by a Metro would not be in Synders financial interest. what is likely to happen is the Skins will at least serve out the remaining portion of their lease at Fed Ex field (which I think has another 15-20 years), and than once that ends maybe they relocate to a new stadium. |

skinsfan69:
The reason the Rams MIGHT be worth $900M+ is that they might go back to LA to play in a stadium that will be constructed in an LA suburb - - if a team moves there. In fact, it is POSSIBLE that the Rams and the Chargers might move to the same stadium and share it. New stadium + LA market = $900M+ in value... |

I have a question that is off point from this topic, but.. I'm wondering what happened to the guy who used to post autograph events?? What website I should use to look up into autograph events? |
