yup thats my inclination too, drew just wants a cut from his new player and the best way to do that is ask for a new deal. drew is a POS and i rarely hate on people.
go skins!!
You know Danny and Drew though; and you can't blame Drew, Sellers went to him for a reason. |

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How stupid are we??? |
Re: Sellers Unhappy
Sellers is my favorite skin but he's acting like a little bitch about this. If he wants money then he can get it by showing up to work out? I'd hate to see him go but hey it is draft time. There will be some good FBs in the latter rounds, perhaps in the seventh?

Re: Sellers Unhappy
Maybe Sanchez can pull time at FB while he's learning our offense.

Re: Sellers Unhappy
1 yard against Cincinati messed up the whole season. It also proved to me Zorn does not have the smarts to be an NFL head coach. Why not give it to Portis? Cause you didn't want him to score? Because he called you a "GENIE YUS" earlier that week? I would have fired him on the spot.

Rosenhaus strikes again!

Re: Sellers Unhappy
Sellers is getting up there in age, gotta figure he has a couple of seasons left at best. He's looking to cash in on his Pro Bowl appearance, hard to blame him for that. When push comes to shove he's not going to sit out. Let him pout for now, who cares.

Re: Sellers Unhappy
Love Sellars, but he needs to realize the position he plays and what his market value is.
|
Re: Sellers Unhappy
its gotten to his head...
|
Re: Sellers Unhappy
If he leaves, who will we count on for one terribly-timed special teams personal foul penalty per game?
|
Re: Sellers Unhappy
C'mon really!! Sellers is good but he can't ask for CRAZY money because he is just a FB...we can always find a run blocking FB, plus sellers is in his mid 30's.
its getting harder and harder to find true fullbacks hybrids are becoming more and more common....most fullbacks in the league are just big running backs and dont have the skillset required to actually be labeled fullback blocking is key and sellers deserves more credit than he gets the redskins have bigger, more pressing needs tho and sellers can wait for a new contract. when is his current contract up? |

Seriously. Can someone tell me the last time a 34 year old FB held out for more money? Exactly. He'll be there in training camp. |
Re: Sellers Unhappy
Hate to say it but Sellers IS underpaid. He's been the best contract on our books for years now.
I'm not one to support players who hold out for more money, and I won't necessarily support Sellers missing any real time, but I don't mind his bitching right now. Maybe it's cuz he's a CFL boy... Not sure how Sellers compares to other FBs, but if you look at value to the Redskins, he is underpaid. There were many times last year when he was the only offensive player who gave a sh*t. Everyone brings up "the fumble" but it was one play in a long season. Sellers was our offensive MVP last year IMO. There is no way Sellers should be making less than Suisham, Betts, Rock, Montgomery, Rocky, Golston, Todd Collins... Sellers was more valuable to our team last year than all those guys combined. Everyone else can bitch at Snyder, why not Sellers... |
When he's able to consistently power it in from inside the 1 yd line and not fumble, then he can bitch about his contract. Until then STFU and play.
Couldn't have said it better myself! |
Re: Sellers Unhappy
That one thing that kills me about players. They sign a contract which at the time is good to them or they wouldn't have sign it in the first place. Then they go out and have a really good year now all of a sudden they are under paid. I am pretty sure when he signed the deal he was excepted to have some good years or the Skins would have not resigned him in the first place. I say we try to trade him and get a your FB one that can get 1 or 2 short yards without coughing it up!
