Andre Johnson. He's easy to forget about.
I guess I'd go with OLB Marcus Freeman. If he wasn't available, I hope to get either C Eric Wood or C Antoine Caldwell.

Who would you pick in rounds 1 thru 3 if we traded down and picked up a 2nd rounder?
Wow man I mean what's the scenario, if oher or orakpo is still there then I would stay right at 13 and take one of them if not I would trade down with either Detroit or Miami or new England and hope San diego Detroit and new England don't take maualuga and get him. If they get maualuga then I would take with the later first round pick that we would get, I would get in this order;
Larry English DE/OLB (who I don't think the skins are high on at all)
Ayers DE
Mack C (not as big of a need as T or DE or OLB but some people really really like this guy(SFREDSKIN)and this is assuming that we don't get one of the top 5 second round picks)
Clay Matthews OLB (one year wonder who has NFL bloodlines and may be the best ofthe LBs at USC)

In the second I would get depending on what I get in the first I would get the other obviously in the second (DE --> OT, OT--> DE, OLB--> OT) that said I would get either loadholt, barwin, sidbury, jamon Meredith, duke Robinson, michael Johnson or Paul Kruger (both johnson and kruger are sketchy to me and maybes)

And finally in the third round followig the scenarios that I went by the first two rounds I would get either Jason Williams of western Illinois, brandon Williams of Texas tech, nic Harris of Oklahoma as an OLB, or Kyle Moore of USC, Jason watkins, antione Caldwell, gerald cadgoan, maybe maybe marcus freeman who I don't really like but I hear his name a lot..and if I want to get a position we don't really need, I could get either dillard the WR from rice, or joe Burnett the corner return specialist from UCF who is a great returned and underrated corner

Sadly, if we stopped drafting from a school every time we got a bust like Andre Johnson, we'd have almost no one left to draft from outside of Millsaps College.

Andre Johnson, tackle from Penn St., 1st round 1996, 30th overall pick, according to Nfl.com.

Yeah we drafted him in 1996 with the #30 pick in the first round.

He spent his first year inactive and then they cut him in his second training camp.

What idiot GM made that pick I can't remember? Maybe Casserly.

Andre fricken Johnson

Oh yeah the best part was that we traded up to get the guy.

I just checked and it was Casserly. If you look at Casserly's draft record for the Skins you will cry it's an utter trainwreck.

:laughing2 Has anyone checked to see if there are any prospects from Millsaps?

Chad Rinehart is Andre Johnson reincarnated (Just not drafted quite as high).

I pray that you are mistaken. :)

Me too...we took Rinehart way before others teams would have as he was set to go in the 5th or 6th rd. If he really busts there should be a major overhaul to the FO cuz a totally wasted 3rd pick is inexcusable.

...btw I see the Rinehart situation as a reason for actually trying to trade up from our later rd picks (and keeping our 13 overall). Vinny drafts projects mostly beyond round 2, and those projects usually don't become anything.

In Vinny's defense (a position I rarely take), I think this is true for most teams. Put differently, if you are not a project in some way, you almost always go in the first two rounds. And projects often fail.

I know you're right but Rinehart was slated as a 5th or 6th round project until Vinny went full retard and decided to use our 3rd round pick. We could have got a center to groom or a legit DE project...something worth writing home about eh.

Yeah, you are correct.

BTW Nice chatting with you but I'm gone. HTTR!
