Indy, at a minimum. Gotta win the big game, too.
Wrong conference...but if the Bears can make it through the playoffs, they have a chance in the big game. Any team does, really. So you can admit the Bears are good enough to win the NFC after saying they can't survive the playoffs? Make up your mind! |

Perhaps you misunderstood the question in the first post. We're talking about a perfect season. The '72 Dolphins went 17-0, which includes the Super Bowl. If the Bears reach the SB, which is far from certain, they would still have to get through the AFC champ. If that's Indy, which is as likely as anyone else getting there, the Bears will lose, IMO. |

I said no such thing - quit making stuff up. |
Re: OT: Any Unbeaten Teams VS '72 Dolphins
None. The Colts from last year had the best chance in a long time. They're not as good as they were last year without a dominant RB, the defending champs look horrible and no one else this year looks AS good as either of those teams from last year.
The Bears have found some offense and should contend for the NFC, but they're nowhere near capable of going undefeated. The Seahawks looked worse than last year BEFORE the Madden curse kicked in. The Panthers aren't as good and Smith is not healthy. The Giants are hugely disappointing. The Eagles are better than last year but not as good as their SB year. The Cowboys implosion has begun. The Bucs lost their mediocre QB and now have a rookie QB to lead them to the playoffs. Ha, yeah right. Falcons look worse than last year. The Saints look good so far and only their weak division will let them make the playoffs. Vikings...don't impress me. Packers...nope. The Redskins will turn their season around and compete with 'Da Bears. :)
After the third paragraph, you list a bunch of teams that already have losses (and then the Saints, who are, actually, undefeated). Now I'm convinced that you misunderstood the question. |

---The Bears have the defense to make it to the Super Bowl. And if Grossman plays well all season they will probably go 13-3 or something like that with their schedule. A good defense could give Indy or Cincy fits. Indy didn't look good against a mediocre Giants team and they also struggled vs. Jacksonville. I think the jury is still out on the Bears to see how Grossman does as the season goes forward, but last year they won 11 games even with a very bad Kyle Orton at QB based on their D alone. This season Grossman has played well so far and a couple guys have stepped up on the receiving end too. If they keep that up they'll be very tough. |

You just said the Colts would beat them in the playoffs, meaning the Super Bowl obviously. That's also why I threw in "wrong conference". You make no sense! :benched: |

It was an addition to my statement about no teams being good enough to be undefeated. It seems to me that the entire playing field has really evened out this year. There don't seem to be many dominant teams like last year and many teams who were good last year have been downgraded talent-wise, whether by free agency or injuries. Now I'm convinced you lack reading comprehension. That was a joke too, incase you lack a sense of humor. :) |

"at a minimum" means other teams could beat them as well. I didn't take the time to list all of the teams that I think can beat the Bears. |
Re: OT: Any Unbeaten Teams VS '72 Dolphins
This is a funny argument, since we both agree that nobody is going undefeated...

Grossman is "good enough" to help take them to the Super Bowl. Heck, they almost went with Kyle Orton! In the last 11 years: Trent Dilfer won a SB. Kurt Warner won a SB. Jeff Hostettler won a SB. Ben Roethlisberger won a SB by throwing 15 times a game. Chris Chandler went to a SB. Jake Delhomme went to a SB. Kerry Collins went to a SB. Stan Humphries went to a SB. Neil O'Donnell went to a SB. |

Yeah it is. We should both drink some more coffee and I should get a CP avatar. :) |

Ok, last one for this from me (you should be relieved)... If Indy "can" beat the Bears in the postseason, it HAS to be in the Super Bowl. SO, if you're saying Indy can beat the Bears in the playoffs, it has to be in the Super Bowl, so you must think the Bears are good enough to make the Super Bowl after saying they won't survive the playoffs. :cheeky-sm:Flush::confused::sleep: |

By week 7, everyone will have a loss.
