I think Curl will be looking at Bates' contract, not this one. On a different note, I'm surprised there was limited market for Garner-Johnson. He played pretty well last year.
I like Curl but he’s a tier below Bates and Garner-Johnson right now is a better player. 9-10 million per would be a nice payday for him and honestly I don’t see him getting more than that on the open market |

I agree with you (minus the amount, I don't know what the real value for Curl is), but if I'm Curl's agent, I will be starting at the point that is similar to Bates' contract. |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
I'm hoping they can lock Curl in for 20-22M over 3 years. With Forrest on his rookie contract we could have both safety positions in place for at least 2 years. And I really like what I've seen from Forrest so far.

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
Curl is coming into his own still as a player as well. I don't think his ceiling has been reached or gotten THAT close to yet

FWIW: PFF ranked Curl as their 4th best safety last year Ranking the 25 best safeties from the 2022 NFL regular season |

He would catch more balls if he played db for opposing teams though. |

Haven't seen this posted anywhere and is a bit of old news, but Cam Sims signed with the Raiders:
@BenStandig Free agent WR Cam Sims has agreed to contract terms with the Las Vegas Raiders, source tells @TheAthletic. Was with Washington since 2018. |

While I initially laughed at this when I see cousins and Murray ranked so high…I then reality kinda sets in, nfc is really lacking in QB talent. |

Yeah, the NFC ain't winning the Super Bowl any time soon, outside of the Iggles. |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
I guess it's slim pickings in the NFC but I'd take Goff over Murray

I would too, Murray isn’t good and I would easily take Geno over him too. |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread

Other than RG3 (i bought the hype when he was drafted) i have not have a good feeling about a Redskins/commanders QB since they traded for Brad Johnson. For whatever reason i have a really good feeling about Sam Howell and that he will become a really good QB for us. Not sure why, but i feel he might be the best QB here in 30 years or so, maybe longer. |
