I think they could have been contenders had they had their heads outside their asses for the first 8 games. I think the talent is there, and I think the coaches even showed us something. But they need to not take 8 weeks to figure shit out next year. Tonight is about us stopping the run. If we stop the run we can completely shut their offense down - it is so one dimensional. Gilbert just has to put up roughly 10-17 points somehow.

Oh tonight is challenging for any team no doubt. But we put ourselves in the position that this game means everything by going 2-6 to start the year.

If we lose tonight it’s basically a wrap. Saints play a weak schedule and the niners should win 2 of the next 3. So basically our playoff hopes rest on a dude that is coming off the couch.. amazing

I've always been frustrated by those that say the first game is a continuation of pre season. This season is too short for not every game to be significant.

If Gilbert starts, this game is going to suck for us, we are terrible at trying to stop running QBs.

All 16 players tests are in a lab in nj. Should have results in an hour.
