Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
It’s certainly a balance with multi layers to consider: new joiners on the team, new coaches joining the team, injury history of players, depth at certain positions, etc
This last week in preseason, there is no one in hell I’m playing starters. You got guys fighting to make the team and others who maybe half assing playing thinking about the after hours party later. That is a recipe for injury.
This isn't a sport where you can afford to go out on the field and half-ass it. At this point in their careers, that would just be foolish. If that is the choice a player makes, then he probably doesn't deserve to wear the uniform. I don't see that happening on this team in particular. Call it old school, new school - whatever. This is new. Three preseason games a two week break, and then a 17 game season. Everyone is just trying to figure out what works best for their team. I think the two week break is actually going to be the deciding factor as to whether or not "starters" for the WFT play this weekend. I think there will probably be plenty playing at least briefly, and I'm ok with that. |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Apparently no Fitz or Heinicke tonight
I guess it will be interesting to see Allen against the Baltimore defense. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
No starters at all it seems, which is a bit of a bummer as this is the first game to start at a reasonable time of day for us europeans..... but at least we can reasonably sure that none of our starters will get injured tonight

Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Looks like the Ravens are using their starters, could get ugly

Interested in seeing if Patterson gets any plays - if he doesn't he has that #2 spot locked up. |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
And there goes a great reason not to play starters in the PS....

Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Fantasy question Not watching the game it said Dobbins (Ravens #1 RB got hurt - was it routine or not?).

Knee got bent wrong way when moreland hit his knee cap on a tackle, foot stuck in turf, did not look good though far from the worst you will have seen |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Jackson sacked twice on first drive by our second team defence against their first team OL, now their backup is in lol
|
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
JK Dobbins now being carted to the Ravens’ locker room.
-schefty So dumb playing starters last game of preseason |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
AGG can’t catch

Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Dropping too many balls all around , especially Patterson. I am now less bothered by who makes the end of the roster, the whole training camp angst about who we will have to cut is so overblown. I know the Ravens still have 1s and 2s going against what are largely our 3s and 4s but if they want to make the roster they need to be able to play against that level of opposition.
Also, we need a couple of backup Linbackers, these guys are getting abused. |
Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread
Well thank goodness the preseason is over. Made it through with no major injuries and the defense looks in sync. My biggest concern remains Scott Turner being able to create a plan that doesn't take two quarters per game to get in rhythm.
