Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Bold move. Went with the Freak!
Congrats to Davis! |
Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
If it had to be a LB at least this guy has some size, JOK was too small more of a SS, I will trust that RR and JDR know what they are doing regards LB talent. Would have preferred Darrisaw personally, looks like Saddiq Charles is still our LT of the future until tomorrow night at least
Not really. He was skyrocketing up the boards. Would’ve been gone in round one. I trust RR and Del Rio to pick linebackers more than Mel Kiper. Davis is going to be damn good. Speed kills.
I trust Ron, but I think JOK is the better all around player, I hope we don’t regret it. |

@WashingtonNFL@jamindavis25 finds the football and tested off the charts. The #WFT is building a beast on defense. Might have a chance to be the best Defense in the #NFL #BaldysBreakdowns https://mobile.twitter.com/BaldyNFL/status/1387959934411755520 |

Davis also graded out higher than any LB in the SEC last season. |
Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Rotoworld analysis :
Washington Football Team selected Kentucky LB Jamin Davis with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Davis (6’4/234) hits the No. 19 pick shot out of a hype cannon. One of the hottest names in the class, Davis turned in a monster 2020 — quite the year to do so — with 102 tackles and three picks in 10 contests. He boasts insane range and lateral ability paired with ninja-quick reflexes. Davis has just one standout season to fall back on, so there is some bust risk here. Specifically, NFL.com's Lance Zierlein believes Davis needs to "improve his technique in taking on blocks and constricting run lanes." But if the Kentucky ‘backer can build on his gains from this past season, he might just be scratching the surface of his talent. |
Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
He has elite defensive coaching and players all around him. This has boom written all over it, not bust.

Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
I don't think he is going to be asked to take on linemen given our DL. Moreso looks like he has the athleticism and ability to take advantage of what our front 4 should be able to do.

Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Interesting that a lot of OT needy teams have passed on Darrisaw so far up to and including Indy, just proves I know nothing. OT have a history of being overdrafted so he must have some rough edges.

He can stop the run, his only weakness is lack of experience but he has all the physical attributes to be coached up for coverage and we have a great defensive staff to do so. He is going to be a stud. |
