This team was a mirage coming into the season. Even when RG3 plays at the top if his game as he did in the first half, they still find a way to lose. I can't think of a single game this year where they won the Special Teams battle, and 4th quarter ST gaffes swung the momentum for good.

Won the ST battle?! The Skins have been beaten so badly on ST's that the unit should be nicknamed "The French Army".

Actually Chico coined them "turdble". In all fairness though the first three quarters we did keep the ball away from them on returns with the short kicks and Paul got us decent field position.

Its a combination of terrible and turd. I think Charles Barkley started it.

This loss is really bothering me guys. What a different attitude I would have rite now.
Still say that this is the worst loss I have ever had to deal with - all things considered.
The opponent, the way the first half went, the importance of the game, the state of our division where it is just up for grabs.

Try reading my comment first. I said that I [B]CAN'T[/B] think of a single game this year where they (Redskins) won the special teams battle. ST has been a HUGE liability all year. They looked like the Keystone Cops on the fake punt, were saved by their own ineptitude (illegal procedure), yet given a second chance, gave up a 20 yard return with a 15 yard personal foul tacked on. Minnesota only had to drive 41 yards for the go ahead score from there. Keith Burns cannot be brought back next year.

That is all that needs to be said here. We need a new coaching staff, from the top down. Kyle is horrible, Mike is in la la land with RG3 and clock management, ST coach is.........I dont think there is an adjective suitable for how bad we are, Secondary coach is blah.....................We need new coaches. Even with RG3 Alfmo and Garcon, we can't make this work with these coaches.

Both games were the first game of seasons where the Redskins entered with very legitimate playoff aspirations, and signaled doom for the rest of the season with home losses to bad teams. (Honorable mention: 08 vs St. Louis and 09 vs Detroit)

This loss wasn't on the same level as those I don't think, because we had the prior seven games to prepare us (and specifically blown leads in the prior three games). If you weren't at least a little worried that the Redskins would pull out defeat from the jaws of victory, it may have been because we were all making excuses for their performance in recent weeks.

That they continued the trend against the Vikings is disappointing. It is. But it's not the worst loss of the season, much less multiple seasons.
