Re: Free Agency Around the NFL Style
Cheap? $18m guaranteed. Given Wentz confidence then bringing in veteran competition is almost guaranteed to make that trade a failure, its a bit touch and go as it is
Should we take a shot on baker? He maybe cheap and have a competition between him and Wentz
If we bring another quarterback, it should be a mid/late round rookie. No need to bring another veteran QB. |
Re: Free Agency Around the NFL Style
lol Baker isn't coming here to compete for a job.
Plus you don't give up picks for Wentz and then throw him into a competition. |

It'll be interesting to see if Seattle is interested in him. If not nor Detroit, who knows? The rest of his career should be interesting considering his background and Cleveland sudden's divorce from him. |

Let Watson live his life. And hopefully Baker finds a spot where he can become the franchise QB.
I don't have a good read on Mayfield but I don't think he is a franchise QB. Hopefully he lands in a good spot so we can see what he can do. |

Re: Free Agency Around the NFL Style
I'd put BM in the top 15-20 range. He had an excellent 2020 season (10th in QBR) but really fell off last year due to injuries.

Guess we'll find out when Watson takes over. It felt at times Baker was a gamer...but odds are he's not going to be anything special. |

If I'm a QB desperate team like the Panther, Seattle, Detroit, or New Orleans, I would rather have him over Jimmy G and his bum shoulder, or even Jameis. I guess it depends of what the compensation is going to look like for Baker. |
Re: Free Agency Around the NFL Style
Mayfield played on a bum shoulder last year leading to the poor season. He got surgery to resolve it in January. He was much better prior to last year when healthy and nearly beat KC in the playoffs. Don't think the kid is the next Marino, but I would definitely not write him off yet.

Matt Rhule's days are counted, and he'd likely be fired at the end of this season, unless he pulls a miracle. |

Pretty surprised he didn't jump back into college. Strong rumors of him going to Michigan if Harbaugh was done there.

Re: Free Agency Around the NFL Style
Baker has Seattle or CAR at this point and if I'm him I'd go to SEA.
