Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
That's good perspective. At the same time, the typical US citizen doesn't play on a football team who could have to forfeit games, causing every player to lose game checks.

If everyone in your neighborhood would lose 1/17th of their income if there was an outbreak in your neighborhood, you'd be more likely to get vaccinated too. That's why I can't understand why we're not at 90-95 percent. Hopefully getting there soon.
My neighbors' income, and potential loss of some of it, would not factor into my decision regarding whether or not to get this vaccine. Not that I wouldn't care, I just don't base decisions regarding my health and welfare on my neighbors' anything.

The NFL put big time pressure on these guys to get the vaccine. Whether you like that tactic or not, it does seem to be working. Players are either doing a 180 after being provided more information, caving to the pressure, or simply making a new "business decision". But not everyone who doesn't want to get the vaccine, whatever their reason, is going to fold under the applied pressure; and I think the majority of players understand and respect that. It's mostly fans ("But I've been a die hard fan for years, what if they have to forfeit games") that don't respect the players' individual decisions.

Sorry Chief but I really have a hard time with that part of the argument. Saying "I wish they did that" and not respecting someone's personal decision are 2 different things IMO.
We all have opinions about a lot of things all the time. I don't get why having an opinion about the best option on this particular matter is suddenly such a massive issue...
Like, if an environmentalist says "I wish more people would use public transportation rather than individual cars" (not "any body who owns a car should be sent to jail/fired from their jobs"), is it a breach in individual freedom ?

Kirk Cousins isn't vaccinated.

I'll judge him lol.

What a "dumbs"!

People judge each other every day for every action. Don’t like it? Sorry my gentle little flower, nobody cares. If you don’t get the vaccine you’re a dumbass.

It is what it is, let’s not get too carried away with tolerance.

FS, I said it's mostly fans... Meaning, for the most part, what I have seen/heard, the players are being respectful of each other's decisions (at least on record), but it's mostly fans or others outside the NFL who are not - because God forbid a team has to forfeit a game. I didn't say all fans... If the shoe fits...

If you've read anything I've posted on here, I'm probably the last one who is going to be against someone for voicing an opinion, even if I disagree. Now, I don't particularly like it when individuals feel they have to berate or shame someone who has a different opinion, but we weren't all raised the same - so while I don't care for it, I'm understanding.

Thank goodness this is true for lots of reasons:

Ron Rivera Presser: Vaccination status will not play a part in who makes the team, we’ll keep the best players.

HogsHaven tweeted that one.

I'm not a big fan of the actual climate where each side is calling the other side a bunch of brainless morons.
The atmosphere in France lately is about the same as what I can perceive from the US...

I bet the team will be in the 90% range by September.

McLaurin is gonna end up being my favorite Skins/WFT/Wolves player of all times.

He is just a stud on and off the field.

I love that dude as much as I can love someone I don't know personally.

Whenever he can be re-upped, give him ALL OF THE MONEY! Don't fuck around.

The future is bright from a leadership standpoint with McLaurin, JA, and Chase.

We should have the Dundie Awards here. That would be some fun polling.

Come up with 5-10 awards, and do like 2 day polling on each one. That could carry is right into some actual games. Probably stupid but reading all the different posts today was wild.

I don't care if it's stupid or not, sounds fun to me.

Go Team!

Yup. A self absorbed, misinformed, dangerous, greedy, selfish, cunt of a dumbass……to be exact.

Just curious how people felt after they got vaccinated. I got really sick for about 5 days. I felt so bad that I wanted to go to the hospital. I don't think I'm going to put my body through that again, idk. However I am 51. These guys probably bounce back a lot faster than I did. I get why these guys don't want to do it.

First shot I had no reaction. 2nd shot I had on a Wednesday, felt very fatigued for about 24 hrs and by Friday I was 100% again. I'm 48.
Anybody else want to claim the vaccination is killing more people than the virus? There are plenty of badges of idiocy.
I'm not buying that it is killing people. However if you felt as bad as I did you may have a different opinion.
