I like Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis and John Adams by David McCullough a lot. But are you looking for something about the war itself, like a military book?
Not really other than summary of events and keystone battles...not detailed battle accounts
More importantly events leading up to and after..

I just started reading Doctor Sleep, Stephen King's sequel to The Shining, and I have to admit that the first couple of chapters really freaked me. I'm not sure how much I'll like the book, but that was a pretty good start.

Harsh reading as you might imagine.....considering the subject, but well written...informative for sure.
Good Stuff!

has anybody read the divergent series?

my lady is starting the 3rd book and im tempted to start reading the 1st one - divergent.

im currently reading 2 other books but i havent read a kinda sci-fi-ish book in a long time (since the harry potter series). i think i would like to read a book not based on the real world parameters.

"I am Abraham"
It is a first person account of Abe's life. Written in a sometime......disturbing manner. But pretty good. Many things I was unaware in the life of AL.
