I just started reading Doctor Sleep, Stephen King's sequel to The Shining, and I have to admit that the first couple of chapters really freaked me. I'm not sure how much I'll like the book, but that was a pretty good start.

has anybody read the divergent series?
my lady is starting the 3rd book and im tempted to start reading the 1st one - divergent. im currently reading 2 other books but i havent read a kinda sci-fi-ish book in a long time (since the harry potter series). i think i would like to read a book not based on the real world parameters. |

snuff was okay. i picked it up and put it down a lot. def my least favorite palahniuk.
anybody ever read "under the volcano"? bordain mentioned it as "one of the must reads over the past century". i never heard of it. |

It is a first person account of Abe's life. Written in a sometime......disturbing manner. But pretty good. Many things I was unaware in the life of AL. |
