Still man McNabb picked a terrible time to go to Minnesota. God knows who will be protecting his blind side, his number one receiver is Percy Harvin, half of that dominating D-Line is now gone. The only good things about that team are Leslie Frazier and AD.

Well what was long expected is now official as LeRon McLain has signed with Kansas City. He had a pretty interesting little twitter battle yesterday with whoever runs the Baltimore Ravens account

And he'll bitch and moan in his classic passive-aggressive manner when Ponder flat out gets the starting job from him come midseason. Watch, Ponder will suddenly "spark" the anemic offense "led" --more like hampered--, by McFlaky.

Vikings will be in the top 10 next April and it won't be from a trade up, mark my words. I can forgive not having a game breaking receiver but an anemic line with an inacccurate QB learning a new system in a month or two? My God.

Seeing how Brett Favre got wrecked last year behind that line, I expect the same in the near future for McNabb. He's about 2 years too late to want to be on the Vikings. That window closed last year.

I know right. Seems like the real reason they brought in McNabb was so they didn't have to put the fragile Ponder behind that O-Line.

Ravens said "unlike LeRon McLain, Vontae Leach knows his role on the team and plans to block for Ray Rice" A subtle jab, it seems, at McLain's statement that he wants to be recognized for more than blocking and he wants carries. LM didn't take too kindly to that.

Seems like maybe some tweets are gone

^^ it looks like he retweeted this
@RavensInsider Aaron Wilson

Vonta Leach: 'I am a fullback. No, I don't want to be a running back. I know my job.'
2 Aug via web
He didn't even comment about it, just retweeted it. It was pretty lame by Aaron Wilson though.

For the record though, it's not Aaron Wilson McLain was upset with. Wilson is just a reporter that's not the official Ravens account
I've wondered why we didn't get Harris, too. Maybe a far better chance to start in Philly was persuasive to him.
Is it POSSIBLE that Ryan Harris might not want to play under Mike Shanahan again?

If he thought that he did not have a fair chance to start for the Skins given the state of their OL, he would definitely have gone wherever the biggest paycheck would have been.

The fact is that the Redskins image around the league as of August 2011 is not a good one - - unless all you are looking for is a big payday. I am not saying that is a "proper image" or that the "image will never change", but that is what is out there at the moment.

Bruce Allen and the Shanahans need to change that as quickly as possible and THE best way to do that is to win more games than they lose.

I always thought Brown was the easier choice. the only advantage Harris had over Brown was age. He also has the all important familiarity with the Skins version of the Shanahan system as opposed to Harris who's two years removed.

Also lets not forget, Harris hasn't played at least 15 games in a season since 2008. Brown did it last year while hurt. I maintain that Harris is a good fit for the Eagles but part of that is due to having Winston Justice backing him up. If Harris went down for us we'd be pretty screwed.

To put it simply virtually every scout will tell you that Brown is better then Harris in terms of run blocking, pass blocking, durability, versatility, and leadership. And to top it off Brown came back at a reasonable price. Either way we're talking about comparing a pro bowl caliber player to a very solid but oft injured player.
