I will go out on st patty 1000x more likely then fucking nye. I honestly can’t remember a nye that I had a amazing time. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Saint Patty's Day, talk about cultural appropriation lol. Everyone in the country becomes Irish.
Any day that the whole world is going out for, is gonna be over-rated. Best day of the year to go out: AFC/NFC Championship Sunday. Hands down imo. Maybe one decade we will play in the NFC game. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I only remember one truly memorable NYE party, I was a year out of high school, my friends and I crashed a party. I had a 64 oz Colt 45 with me, thought I was king shit. Did a bunch of shots and we all got rowdy, girls at the party were handing out smooches like candy at midnight, ended up throwing up when I got home and had to call in sick to work the next day. Good times.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Best NYE's I was at a local Bar with friends but I was single at the time and it was great ! I learned it's better to be the sober one on NYE not that I didn't want to party but I got way more...NYE affection sober then being a slobbering drunk .

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I would never be out in the New York New Years thing in Times Square…little surprised they are having it in the covid outbreak there.

Even without the covid outbreak you couldn't pay me to attend. Hard pass on that one. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Ive had some amazing, mind blowing NYE experiences in my youth.
In my older age Ive wanted to do one of those high end ballroom all inclusive parties. $200 per person, get a hotel room, dress up, drink, eat, dance. As anyone done one of those? |

Same here, that does not look enjoyable at all. And it has nothing to do with COVID. |

Probably my best trip…but but been to NYC a bunch younger, always fun. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
It was either 2001 or 2002. Some promotion company did a all you can drink, live bands and had craps and roulette tables going $10 minimum up to $100 min tables on the piers where the aquarium is. They had massive tents. It was alright you spent 30 minutes trying to get a drink. I figured if I was paying $150 for event I was going to drink Bulleit Burbon or woodford but you got a splash and had to wait to ask for another. I really hated it but then again I don’t like people in large quantities

Automatic phone updates can rot in hell. Always some tweaks that does nothing but change something I'm already used to, with no actual improvements.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Broken signals. Where I'm at, lights constantly change red for no reason. So there will be cars sitting there on the main street while the side street has a green light with no cars.
If I'm 1st in line, I treat them like stop signs. Always hilarious just going thru while 10 cars behind me are half thinking what is he doing and half thinking I want to do that too. |

Its like theyre on a cycle on something. I treat the red stop lights like red stop lights. Red = stop Green = go Yellow = pee edit - (I used "as well" twice in one sentence = poor sentence structure and writing imo ... but Im not sure if I use "to" or "too" to replace one of the "as well"s so Im just going to leave it be but I want you the reader of this edit note to know that I know that is a shitty and poorly written sentence and that reflects poorly and shitally on me as the writer. You the reader are doing a great job if you got this far and I appreciate that and you.) |

Here in Jersey there are lights that will immediately turn green again if they sense no cars coming the other way but I usually wait even if they dont. |
