Re: Offseason Roster Moves Thread
burgundyblog speculates that we offered more. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but even if we offered an identical context, I’d say Olsen saved Rivera from making his first mistake as Head Coach. Paying they kind of money to a 35 year old injury plagued TE is not the business we need to be in. I’d rather pay Hooper 101-12 Mil per year on average. We really dodged a bullet there.

Re: Offseason Roster Moves Thread
In other news, JP Finlay just replied to a tweet commenting on the fact that that Stephon Diggs deleted everything on his IG account vikings related. There where rumblings of him coming to Washington last off-season. Probably nothing, but something involving Diggs and Trent could make a lot of sense for both teams. We’d be swapping one need for another, but giving everyone a clean slate.

Greg Olsen off the board, never wanted him
Seahawks signed TE Greg Olsen, formerly of the Panthers, to a one-year, $7 million contract.
Per Profootballtalk's Mike Florio, the deal includes $5.5 million guaranteed. That's on the higher end of what we were expecting. It's no wonder Olsen was willing to stay out of the T.V. booth for at least one more year. One month shy of his 35th birthday, Olsen finally kicked his years-long struggle with foot issues last season to post a 52/597/2 line, averaging a solid 11.5 yards per catch.. 7 mil plain stupid for Olsen. Solid pass
Sounds stupid until you compare it to what The Redskins paid for Davis & Reed last season. |

Olsen wants the chance for a ring, don’t blame him

Since Tampa has Brate, I wonder what it would take to get OJ Howard? |

Before the trade deadline last year, there were rumors about some teams contacting Tampa Bay about Howard but they wanted a lot for Howard although, they didn't say exactly what they are looking for. I assume something close to 1st round pick and the team will still want same thing this off season. If we are able to get Howard for anything less than 1st round, I would be happy. Arians didn't utilize Howard very well and historically, Arians don't use TEs well so it would be a waste of talents if the team holds onto him. |

One of these two will most likely be gone...my guess is they cut Brate. Who I would want fo sure. Also, I’d like to remove Support from Ebron. After further research, Hooper would be my top free agent target going into offseason. |
