Me too...
And I love hearing this: Eagles Practice Notes: Sam Bradford had a bad day filled with interceptions - Bleeding Green Nation
One thing i really wonder about, is why did RG3 never do this, especially with having Doug Williams on hand as a potential sounding board? Was it really his ego, or something else?? |

IMO it was def an ego thing. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Ego. And more specifically, an arrogant assumption that his success in college and in Year 1 with the Skins meant he didn't need to seek advice, because he was different.
The fact that he told Shanahan he wanted to be a pocket passer, and wanted certain plays scrapped, showed he felt he would succeed at anything. It never occurred to him that he had weaknesses. That takes a lot of arrogance. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Reading a fantasy football article on espn(degenerate loser, I know) ...couple nice stats about Cousins:
20. From Week 7 on in 2015, Kirk Cousins had four different games with at least four total touchdowns. 21. That's the same number of four-TD games that Aaron Rodgers has had since the start of 2014. 22. There has been one quarterback during the past three seasons to throw for 4,100 yards and rush for five scores. His name is Kirk Cousins. 23. The latest to do it, before Cousins, was Andrew Luck in 2012. 23a. In 2013, Andrew Luck was the fourth-best quarterback in fantasy. 24. ESPN NFL Nation Redskins reporter John Keim's recent blog post about Kirk Cousins and expectations about his air yards per attempt included this nugget: "After the first Dallas game, the Redskins changed their offensive approach. Offensive coordinator Sean McVay knew he needed to stay more aggressive with the passing game." 25. The "first Dallas game" referenced in No. 24 was in Week 13 last season. 25a. Kirk Cousins from Weeks 1-13: 6.55 yards per pass attempt and 27 pass attempts per touchdown toss. 25b. For comparison, Colin Kaepernick had 6.62 yards per pass attempt last season, while Josh McCown averaged 24.3 attempts per touchdown pass. 26. Kirk Cousins (Weeks 14-17): 9.67 yards per pass attempt and 8.57 attempts per touchdown pass. 26a. For comparison, Tom Brady in 2007, when he was the first QB to throw 50 TDs, put up 8.31 yards per attempt and 11.56 attempts per TD pass. And Peyton Manning, when he set the NFL record for passing yards and TDs in 2013, averaged 8.31 yards per attempt and 11.98 attempts per TD pass. 27. The offensive coaching staff and all offensive starters in the passing game return for Washington. Yet, like Tyrod Taylor, Cousins was not selected in our staff's first mock draft. |

Far be it for me to discredit anything Cousins has done but Berry is an unapologetic Redskins fan and he lets it skew his fantasy analysis. These nuggets definitely cherry pick the positives on Cousins. He still should absolutely be drafted but whoa nelly on the positive hype for fantasy purposes. I'd take him as the 10-12th best QB in fantasy, something like that. Still gotta go with guys like Rivers, Big Ben, and Eli over Cousins just because they've done it for longer, and because Cousins will face tougher defenses than what he saw over the 2nd half of last season. |

He states at the beginning of the article to take the following stats as you want and gives an example of how this marks the start of fantasy speculation with being able to skew the stats to make opposite points about the same player: 100 facts to consider for the 2016 fantasy football season Good article, starts good debate. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
I'm in a 4 player keeper league and have owned Brady since 02. I'm thinking about letting him go this year and keeping Kirk. Yeah I'm on the bandwagon and drinking the Kool Aid. I just think that he's going to have a great year stats wise, we can't and won't be able to run, and the weapons he has. I think Kirk can be a top 5 fantasy QB, even better than Brady.

It will at one point or another. No doubt. |

It's not a bad thing. The team can continue to tag him, if it comes to that. The impact is plus or minus a couple million on the cap - not a major consequence. I'm happy with the team taking a stance that asks him to prove it one more time before committing a lot of guaranteed money, even if it means giving up a few million per year in cap space in the long run. He'll stick around. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
If he's playing well I can see a deal being reached midway during the season.

Makes me nervous. Really nervous. Seeing cousins in another uniform tearing it up in 2017 will be a bad, bad thing. There just must be something about him that they don't like for them to not want to lock him up. Think to the future for a minute and i wonder what team would be most interested in him this off-season. Guess it depends on how a few teams do with their "new" QB's this year.... |

So looks like KC still has something to prove. No big deal. |
