Re: New Orleans Saints/Washington Redskins: Bounty Hunters
I have an insider at Godells office and she said he told her only the Saints will recieve punishment. He said because anyone associated with the Redskins or Bills the last two decades have been punished enough.
So do you think when Sean Taylor laid the wood on people was he trying to "jeopardize" a career? He was obviously part of this bounty program. You can go on You Tube now and look at all the hits Taylor laid out. What's your opinion on his hitting style?
Look I can see there is no convincing you so I'm going to stop. I have my opinion, you have your own. It doesn't mean sh*t what we think, in the end this is in the hands of the NFL, the teams, the owners, and the players. Bottom line what happened is wrong, the NFL is changing, and we as fans have to deal with that. There are things from the "good ol' days" that are good and some are bad (like many things in life). In the end, this is "wrong enough" that Williams, the Saints, and players are going to lose money over it and have their careers affected by it. |
I think investigation with the redskins is to build a stronger case against williams. But who knows how much they can dig up, we could possibly face some fines.

And the "Dirty Sanchez" is drawing a mustache on her. |
Re: New Orleans Saints/Washington Redskins: Bounty Hunters
I wonder if the Rams were aware of all this when they hired Williams, because if not they have a legitimate axe to grind.

Re: New Orleans Saints/Washington Redskins: Bounty Hunters
The link I read quoted ONE guy who took out James Stewart on a LEGAL it. What's the big deal there? Stewart got hurt on a legal hit!!!! It happens every week in the NFL. It sucks that he got hurt but Wire did nothing wrong.
Let me ask you this. What in the world do you think Sean Taylor was trying to do on all those "kill" shots that he delivered in his career??? He wasn't just trying to bring the guy down. He's trying to hurt the opponent. Not hurt him where is career is in jepordy. But hurt him where he's trying to intimidate and inflict pain. That's football!!!!!!!! What GW did was wrong. I just don't have a problem with it, nor do a lot of the players that I've heard comment on it.
You're still just totally missing it. Yeah, Sean Taylor was a headhunter. It was his style long before he ever met GW. And I loved Sean. But he wasn't crushing guys just because GW told him to. He would have been out there doing that regardless of the coach, and the league would just be throwing flags and docking paychecks. Coaching up and managing hotheaded players is a basic job duty of NFL coaches. Telling players you're gonna give them extra cash to purposely look to get a guy carted off the field is on a totally different level, and contradicts so much of what's good about the game of football. As to your point in bold, GW is in the wrong, and you're cool with coaches breaking the rules. Gotcha. |

I agree 100%. I also wonder if there's any chance the NFL would take away draft picks from the Skins and if so would it happen before the 2012 draft. |
Re: New Orleans Saints/Washington Redskins: Bounty Hunters
Skins are going to get at worst a fine.
