according to Mike Jones, Dan Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News has us taking Ponder 10th overall...

This isn't happening, and I'd probably go head first off a tall building if it did. To back up what he said, here is something from another insider this morning in his response to the story being broke out from the Skins side.
I promise you this did not break on Skins side, this came out from Denver.. Either 2 drive up the Price or something, but story was real, really cant comment on it 2 much right now, 2 early n the am.. I would be shocked if Ponder gets taken at 10..or Dalton for that matter.. but neither of them will be there in the 2nd i dont think. Most of u are right, not in war room, so cant tell u THIS will happen.. But again they both signed off on Blaine.. They like Locker as they seem him as very coachable, n can work on his footwork to help with his throwing, samething that Kyle wanted to do with McNabb n he didnt wanna hear, so thats landed him at the spot he is n today.. a Rookie a lot more coachable.. and all of them have some flaws and no QB for skins at this point as a rookie is expected 2 come in and start day 1. we dont wanna turn him into a Ramsey now do we lol...stay good guys.. n as calm as u can. i know its a big day
Interesting part in this is that it seems McNugget wasn't a coach-able person. No wonder they wanted his ass ran out of Philly. Also interesting to see what they think of Locker. On a side note: Some of these guys that are insiders, are horrible as **** with their grammar. I would like to take this time and thank Smoot for his ability to write legibly. That is all. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
yeah I dont buy it either, I could see what Smoot said happening though. Cam Jordan at 10 and trading back into the first for Ponder.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
I could see a trade with NE, us getting the 17th pick, getting Jordan, and using NE's 33rd pick with Brooks Reed or Akeem Ayers, and 41 on Dalton or Ponder

That'd be remarkable, if possible |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Yeah that would be pretty sweet if it worked out that way. I do like the possibility of trading back with NE. I feel like NE is going to make an aggressive move to snag a top 10 guy like Quinn.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
^ is it the trade part or the fact that the QB's probably won't be there thats seems slightly impossible to you?

Yeah the Pats don't have all those picks not to try to move up into the top 10 |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Ponder will be there when we pick in the second round.

I agree. But if we trade up just a few spots to make sure that we get him, I won't mind. |

Sounds great except as long as were dreaming lets make that Locker at #17and defense at #33 & 41. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
well, it's looking like it may not happen now. But, it was Philly.
I'll just wander around, chill with the Jets fans, hang out with some of my colleagues, text Matty any news if I can
That would have been cool. Sorry. |

Re: Your final prediction for #10
As of now all signs look to us taking Jones, who IMO is the more complete pro ready WR in the draft. The only two ways I see us not take Julio is if
A. We Swap w/ STL (#14) and acquire their 3rd. At #14 selecting Watt or Jordan B. Trade Down w/ Pats or another team when Quinn, Watt, Jordan, Locker are still available |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
really hoping for jake locker at #10 at this point with all the changes in projections for qbs lately. im going with locker.
