Have you watched Community? The humor is along the same lines as the other 3 NBC shows on Thursdays. I think it's pretty damn funny.
Yeah caught it a few times, I just haven't gotten into it yet.
Damn, along the lines of you asking people how they find the time for video games I don't get how you find the time for all this TV. LOL

But again, it's all about how you prioritize your leisure time.

The only shows I watch week in and week out are Parks and Rec, The Office, 30 Rock, and Real Time with Bill Maher. Other than that I catch shows here and there in re-runs.
Well, new seasons of those shows aren't all on at the same time of the year, so it's not like I'm watching 10 new episodes a week. The DVR helps too. You can FF through commericals, so an hour show becomes 40 mins, and a half hour show becomes 20.
Its a great show. They set the new season up to be fantastic.

As for the other AMC show, I think this last season of Breaking Bad (season 3) was some of the best TV I've ever seen. The acting and the writing were unbelievably good. The plot twists and character developments have been amazing. I can't believe it took so long but AMC confirmed that there will be a 4th season last week so it will be really interesting to see where they go with the story.
So what's everyone's take on the upcoming season in Madmen? or should we wait for this discussion until saden catches up?

As for Breaking Bad, I caught a couple of shows and liked them. I may have to go back and rent the first two seasons. Part of the problem is that, unless my wife likes a show, it's kinda of hard to find time to watch anything on my own (After getting the kids to bed, its 8:00 - 9:00 and there is generally still work to do). I am not sure Breaking Bad is her thing, but I see if season one is out and try to coax her into it. As long as it doesn't start w/ blood & gore she may get hooked.

I watched the first episode of Breaking Bad and really liked it, didn't really watch it again until I caught a couple of episodes on demand last week. Enjoyed it, but definitely need to go back and watch older episodes.

But I'm in the same boat as you, usually easier to watch shows that both my wife and I like. Not sure Breaking Bad would make her cut. She saw a couple of episodes of The Tudors on the plane though, and kind of wants to see that series.

Damn, you're right. The episode I saw the other day was 5 years old! Oh well, it's new to me :)

The first season, while a bit slow at times, was only like 6 or 7 episodes because of the writers strike but it sets up the story. The writers have also been very good about bringing up little references to past events. Also, season 1 ends with a cliffhanger which is where season 2 picks up. In fact, I think the timeline between all three seasons is within a year or so.

Yeah great show, I was bummed when it got canceled. I was hoping they would start it back up again when Green picked it up but I haven't heard any news about it.

My wife and I are history buffs and she particularly loves the Elizabethan/Tudor time period so she was psyched when she first saw the premiers. We watched a couple and, well, let's just say, for the episodes we watched, the history was less than an accurate portrayal. It was pretty much - let's play fast and loose with history so we can have our next soft core porn moment.

Not something I to which I objected, but my wife just found it annoying.

As to Breaking Bad, I'll probably end up getting the first two seasons on DVD and watch them over time.
