Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Campbell will hopefully be Our starter for sometime to come. The guy has not had one OC in place for any set time and I think He has shown alot of maturity
just going through the changes year after year in playcalling, an old, injury-prone OL, and substandard recieving core. Just give JC a chance to stop running for His life in the pocket, and He'll do something.. I like him, but his motion quickness in pass delivery needs to speed up and I think they need to let Him get more of a feel for his game, not be always waiting for someone to radio in a solution. If He masters those two aspects and the OL and Portis do their do, we'll be set to kick you know what. |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
We know the Redskins have prematurely given up on QB's ( Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Sage Rosenfells, Stan Humphries) that have gone on to have decent careers. Oh i did forget one more QB that wore the Burgandy and Gold who played in a Super Bowl. Anyone remember Rich Gannon playing for the Redskins?
Lets give JC every chance to succeed before we kick him to the curb. I think Jason will have a huge Chip on his shoulder to prove all you haters wrong. |

And there's no guarantee that if we had held on to Gannon for another ten years he would have led this team to the Super Bowl. He had quite a supporting cast for the Raiders. |

You are so right we dont know if we kept Gannon for 10years that we would have gone to or won a Super Bowl. Thats one of the problems in Redskins nation is we cant seem to keep a QB for more than 2-3 years. Does anyone know what QB since Synder became the Owner has the most seasons as the Starter ? |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Profootballtalk.com suggests the Rams could draft sanchez and look to trade Bulger...

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
what ever happend to all the ppl saying that Cutler is a baby and that Campbell isn't a cry baby and he would never yadayadayada It's kinda funny now that Campbell starts crying about him wanting to be traded if another QB joins the team!
Actually Dirty Sancho, JC hasn't said anything yet. to this point he has done EVERYTHING right. He hasn't complained once publicly. There are rumors that might ask for a trade if...... That isn't the same thing as "Crying" as you put it.

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Once again I agree with you from beginning to end. You are right, Zorny is hilarious when it comes to the cloak-and-dagger draft stuff because he doesn't want to lie and he doesn't want to tell the truth. I'll bet he's a rotten poker player because he feels uncomfortable bluffing.
So a question: which is worse (from a comical sense)- watching Campbell try to slide, or Zorn try to bluff? |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Its' not Zorn cause he is a Puppet of the Front Office. He has zero imput if we take Sanchez I bet. Remember he got the job of Head Coach by lack of big name coaches wanted the job. Dan Synder maybe the next AL DAVIS.
Ya know, this really boils down the whole discussion. If someone thinks Danny is gonna do whatever the **** Danny wants to do, then no other thing will fit. Even though he often has acceded to the thoughts of Vinny or whatever coach he has hired (proof of this has been given many times in many ways) some people are always gonna believe that Danny is behind the curtain like the "Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz". For those people, even if this trade doesn't happen it will not be because he listened to VC or Zorn (the "football people") but because some other team kept him from himself. If you believe (or very much want to believe) that the 3 work together to come up with a strategy, than you are more likely to believe this is just hogwash, and that the Skins are trying to get the players they need to win the toughest division in football. |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
has anyone actually heard Campbell say a thing? I'm confused. I thought all this came from "someone close to the qb"
You are correct. This story about JC demanding a trade is a rumor, not a fact, and it seems to me like an unlikely rumor. Shoot, if VC is blowing smoke to trade down, he may have been the one who put these words out there. |

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
This orig. will neva get anywhere. They have no vision as to where they wanna go except the freakin cellar. All these stupid moves just shows we are chasing our tails and eventually will get tired and fall on our faces. The person we need to replace in this orig. are the idiot owner and GM, then we can try and move forward.

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
How would people feel if we make a steal and draft Jason Campbell for a first rounder? Scenario: Jets miss out on Sanchez, panic when they look at their QB roster, and make a trade. I know this is completely in la-la land, but what if?
yep first of all we already drafted him in the first round and second of all nobody will offer close to a first for him |

Oooh, oooh I can answer this one: yes :) |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
The more I hear the more I doubt it is a smoke screen. We had a Qb that had been in the league for a few yrs and played lights out for 8 games. Then got out shined by Rookies (Balt, Atlanta) with new coach's in new offenses. I think Zorn sees something he does not like in JC or simply thinks we could do better.
Possibly, I think that people have not even thought that Zorn might be on board for this, of course he has to mention Campbell more than others and put on that facade if this is the case. |
