Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
hell yes i want him on our team. elite reciever not near a level of to as a team killer

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
Trade Lloyd, and a second rounder for him. Sign him for one year, and see what happens. We have nothing to lose at this point. Spurrier would have been a better choice than a QB coach ./.err off coord./. err Head Coach! I hate the way this franchise is going now. OMFG just get CJ and throw every pass to him, and treat him like Randy Moss. We'll make the playoffs, and that would keep his mouth shut.

I'd be really surprised if anyone wanted him. |
Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
I would definitely want Chad Johnson to come to D.C., but I would not give up a first round pick for him. I would however entertain the idea of trading this year's and next year's 2nd round pick for him though.

Well you know Danny Boy, he'll probably dig up some sort of idea to be able to get him. Either that or he'll just throw away our picks. He's already made 1 surprise move. Why not another? |
Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
Making a big splash for a player like Johnson would be a quick way to reignite a positive vibe after Gibbs' retirement and the long, drawn out coaching search.
Snyder loves him, and Johnson wants to be here because he know he will get a new contract before he ever even plays a down in Maroon and Black. (I mean Burgundy and Gold!) It will happen. |
Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
yup #5. I think he could be a really good addition for the team. But it's possible Lawrence Jackson (who from what I've seen lately is projected around the 40-50th overall pick) could slip to the Redskins in the second round and then maybe we could target Adarius Bowman in the 3rd round.
That would be a great draft. What I love is that so many prospects shoot up or plummet down the charts after the combine simply because they did or did not run a good 40 or looked cut or sloppy. For that reason, I'm sure at least one prospect who is currently projected to go in the late 1st round will slip to us in the 2nd. |
Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
WR is a tough position to prognosticate, when it comes to rookie success. CJ is a proven receiver and after seeing him in the skills challenge a few years ago, I think he's the best receiver in the league (even though the numbers may not show that). Any help for Campbell is welcome.

CJ, Moss and ARE in the slot? Man that sounds like a secondary's worse nightmare. |

This right here is one of the key reasons that the great franchises can always land 1st round talent in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. It's because teams in the first round are going with players who lack 1st round football skill, but have 1st round 40 times and workouts.

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G
He is a cancer.Go after Roy Williams,or D.J. Hackett,or select through the draft.Wide reciever is not a priority.Moss and Randle El wil explode in the WCO.Kick returners have all the elusiveness when they get the ball in space.I would be concerned about our age at the line of scrimmage on both sides.
Are you kidding Roy Williams he couldn't even cover a toddler
I think he is referring to Roy Williams of the Detroit Lions, not Roy Williams of the Dallas Cowboys. If we are determined to acquire a #1 WR via trade, I'd much rather see us pursue Roy Williams. I'd be fine with trading our 1st for him. |

I don't believe CJ is a cancer. I believe he lacks structure and discipline in Cincinnati. Nevermind Roy Williams the WR.... Feb 10 Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports the Detroit Lions will likely not trade WR Roy Williams unless they are overwhelmed by an offer, according to a source. There's your answer to that. And Who the hell knows DJ Hackett?.................... Exactly. Nobody. Except people in Seattle. The guy only played 6 games this season and his past 2 seasons stats are pretty damn disappointing. Yeah that's exactly what we need. Another lackluster WR. I thought we had already have enough of that in Lloyd? |
