Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Depth/camp body perhaps. Kinda like the Keenum situation, nothing to get excited or upset about. Meh signing, just like every other signing after the first few days of free agency.
Some of you need to chill the F out and perhaps take a break from this site, if you are reacting so upset about this.
What are you the Warpath police? It's the off season and it's free agency. We are here to discuss what we like or dislike about what our favorite team is doing. No one has gone off the deep end about this useless signing. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
I'm not upset about DRC signing, I think it's a great depth move. I don't know much about DRC beside his highlights, if his approach to the game is similar to AP's then our young DBs will benefit from this greatly.

I say do a fan lottery choose seat at beginning of game and boom one game contract. Win win win. Dan gets more butts in the seats. Skins get a guard and fans get the enjoyment of someone getting trucked by a real nfl player |

From spotrac, here are some of the available guards, with their ages and PFF grades: TJ Lang, 31, 72 Ben Garland, 31, 69.3 Matt Slauson, 33, 66.8 Josh Sitton, 33, 62 Andy Levitre, 33, 61.2 Quinton Spain 27, 62.3 Tom Compton, 29, 60.6 Shawn Lauvao 31, 52.2 Left Lauvao in there to highlight that the other guys' grades are way above his, and they'd be upgrades over him according to PFF. I assume none of these guys would be very expensive to sign, plus Arie Kouandjio is still out there (for depth). Not gonna find another Scherff, but we definitely should be able to have a decent LG for the first time in a long while ! |

Full health like top 5...playing with injuries, top third/quarter of league tackles. |

I meant number wise compared to the above list. |

Brandon Scherff is only at 70.1, Trent is graded 74.1 ... and Andrew Norwell has a 66.7... Not sure exactly how all these work, but it definitely tells you there are some decent to very good players available! |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Address LG in the draft, perhaps with one of the 3rd round picks. I don't think you need to spend a 1st or 2nd round on a guard. We know Jay doesn't want to spend a high pick with a guard...lol.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
DRC, we championship now! I like the signing, see what he still has. We need warm bodies at safety. This doesn't effect the draft at all. Still need a young FS.

Grades are based on every snap that current player has ever had. Trent has a career pass blocking grade of 81.5 which is considered among the best. He's a top 5 LT since joining the league, arguably the best. Trent had 457 pass blocking snaps last season, he allowed 1 sack and 30 pressures. That is Elite |
