Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era
I would still take him as HC. Good fit in Washingtion. We need some gdamn swagger.
Not sure about Head Coach for ol' Grilliams. Something about his personality tells me that making him a HC here would just a trainwreck. Guy is a great motivator and defensive schemer but I doubt his ability to lead an entire team. Maybe the suspension has humbled him and I'm wrong but I for sure wouldn't be opposed to him as our DC again. Seems like the last time we had a nasty defense was in 2005 or 2007 when he was here. |

With Williams as HC you find an OC, which seems easier. |
Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era
Worst mistake of shanahan era is shanahan being in this era or procreating an offspring and naming it Kyle.

Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era
I would expect that Kyle has a job sooner than Mike. For all of folks griping, he creates opportunities for players. The players failure to execute by doing dumb mistakes (jumping offsides, drops and bad reads) is, in part, a coaching failure but, to me, those mistakes are "the buck stops here" types that fall on the head coach.
Many castigate Kyle, and he has had some "What da f***??" moments, but, generally, he has given players the opportunities to excel. The fact that the players have failed to take the opportunity to do so is on the players and the head coach. |

Worst mistake of the Shanahan era? Leaking stories to the media to save his ass and deflect blame. We can't get rid of this guy soon enough.

No but it's pretty obvious. Where else would this stuff be coming from. |

Yeah that's true , what a crazy bad turn a round this has been. Like I said maybe McNabb was a little right about mike |
Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era
Worst Mistake of the Shanahan era? Mike Shanahan. That's the worst mistake. Yes, I defended him and respected him a lot - that's past tense. I have no respect for Mike Shanahan now. Might as well go ahead and fire him this week. Fire him today. Get it over with already. Give me a reason to think this franchise is eager to right the ship.

Not to mention this defense being so bad that you'd see the 'skins playing catch up in every game. Probably would not have been the same results as Peyton in Denver. |

Dan Snyder has an opportunity here to take the road less traveled, AKA the high road (when you can't decide between cliches, use two). Fire Shanahan, don't play his games, just have him pack the office it get out. It costs you more in the short term, but I bet he'll save money in the long run. |

As of this week, that is finally no longer true. They are only going to get better now. |

There's nothing to gain (and probably more to lose) by keeping Mike here any longer. At least if anything, Redskins fans will be eager to watch the next game just to see how the interim coach does the rest of the way. Right now, even I don't have a desire to watch the last three games. |
