Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
How can you hate Tebow and not admire what he has done? I can see hating the media hype but him personally makes no sense.
|
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
I could do without all the media hype too, but that's not his fault. Regardless he's a good story IMO.
......could be (AND the Skins could use the injury bug on both occasions as well) OR maybe they just got their.....ass kicked by the better team on those days.....
....ah no. |
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Yeah the media annoys the hell out of me. I like Tebow (Loved him in his florida gator days), but the more attention he gets the more jesus-y he gets, and the more the media debates over him...it gets so annoying.

agreed , and frankly the rest of the Broncos are being left out for how well the're playing. The last play of the game was more the reciever then the QB! |
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Redskins beat the giants twice and would do it again. The g men just played well in th playoffs against choke artist Matt Ryan, injuries can never be an excuse, everyone out there is an NFL caliber player, 11 skins > 11 giants the two matchups speak for themselves and there is no arguing that

Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
I like Tebow and his story is a good one as it has been said before. I think the annoyance comes from the ultra-hype from the media and fans. If Tebow can improve his passing game, he is going to be a starter in the NFL for a long time.
That said, he had a lot of help in winning this game. D. Thomas was RIDICULOUS and it is a bit sad that his amazing game will get lost in Tebow-mania. The Steelers were banged up and got even more banged up during the game. Finally, Dick LeBeau was not able to adjust to Tebow actually passing the ball (including in the game winning pass). Tebow should be highly commended for not screwing up and for doing so in such a huge stage (playoffs). He made the right passes at the right time. And in the end, he took advantage of a huge opportunity. I truly hope Denver beats the Patriots next week, but unfortunately for them they won't be facing a hobbled up Brady. |

Are you saying that it is him getting more "Jesus-y" or the media portraying that on him? PS I drew the Bronco's symbol with Tim Tebow #15 on a post it note this morning and stuck it on my shirt. A girl that works with me thats a big Steelers fan ripped it off, tore it up and threw it in the trashcan. Mission accomplished for 1/9/12. |

I agree, but that's no fault of Tim's. The media is absolutely ridiculous with their coverage of him. And he has been very humble with deflecting the praise to his teammates and coaches. Whenever anyone mentions "Tebow Time" to him, he says it's actually Bronco time. He also heaped plenty of praise, deservedly so, on D. Thomas. Pretty cool that after the game, Tim spent his time with a little girl who has suffered through 73 surgeries. Most players his age would be focusing on getting laid/drunk after a game like that. He's a kid that just gets it. Being a Florida Gator, I'm obviously extremely biased, but I wish Tim Tebow nothing but the highest level of success personally and professionally. This country needs more role models like him, and he's great for the NFL. |

One down. If Tebow makes it through thoses guys he should be admitted into the Justice League Big Ben: Belichick and Brady: Ray Lewis possibly: Pun intended |

Sorry no , the media's not bring it up ...he gets up n that podeum and says "I want to that God and that other shit " and then....any questions? No it's not the media ...it's him and he needs to start thanking the other Bronco players around him. |
Re: Around the NFL - Wildcard Playoffs
Kinda crazy in this day and age when everyone complains that the media only focuses on the negative, here they are focusing on one of the truly good guys and there's backlash over it.

He's a man of strong faith. So what? Better than other knuckleheads who thank god and go beat their girlfriends. At least he practices what he preaches. He thanks the lord all the time. Who cares? Pretty weak to criticize a guy for that. And if you don't think he deflects praise to his teammates and coaches constantly, then you're just not paying attention. |
