I feel like we can 2nd guess this crap to death, in the end though it doesn't overshadow the fact we had a damn good season. I'm already moving on and getting ready for the offseason. Bring on free agency and the draft!
1000 x's this great season NFC EAST CHAMPS |

Dan Graziano does some good work for ESPN, and he hit another home run with this blog.
Yeah. Its a head scratcher for sure. The offense before and after that play where Griff aggravated it was night and day. Like he says maybe KC doesnt win but if he had led us to even a fg over the final three quarters it was more than what we got. No choice but to chalk it up as a bad day at the office. The important thing now is # 10 gets ultra healthy and we sure up some holes and get out injured players back. If we go into next season with all healthy and a couple of upgrades than nobody is beating us. |
Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread
Good season. Robert is going to get healthy for next season and that is all that matters. What's done is done and people can bitch about the decisions made on the field today all they want, but this was one hell of a run.
Redskins gonna get better. |

Shanny isn't the person to blame in this situation
Ummmm. The HC has the final say for the team on gamedays. You play. You don't play etc. etc. This is also on Shanahan because he clearly saw that his player was hurt and just because he wanted to play, doesn't mean you play him. Thats where your coaching comes in and you use your own judgement, not listen to your crippled QB. Of course he wants to play, RG3 has heart, but there comes a point--or a line--where you say Ok if he clearly doesn't look good and is in clear pain, yet wants to play, maybe he's not the best option and I shouldn't risk my future with him. |

You are right but it is not simple as it looked like. Shanny obviously contemplated the idea of pulling Griffin out of the game but Griffin convinced him not to. Based on this move, it seem like Griffin has earned Shanny's trust before this game and Shanny decided to bank on it. People always want to blame someone and Shanny is the easiest target to blame it on. Perhaps you guys should blame it on Montgomery for snapping the ball low to the point where Griffin could not pick it up and aggravated the injury? Or even blame it on Griffin for not swallow his pride and decide to step down? There were several factors that collided together to this point, there is no simple answer. This situation is something that I'm not upset about. I thought we should have played Cousins in 2nd half, but I am not upset at Shanny for not making the move. Shanny did what he believed was right and I'm sticking with him. I love coaches who does what he/she believes is right and not give in to outsiders' wishes. |

Funny how people are ripping the coach and RG111 for playing hurt , when many ripped Cutler for not playing hurt ( referring to media ) . I wish we had put KC in , but RG111 is our General . |
Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread
Pull him or don't pull him; once the decision had to be made the game was lost anyway. Seattle is a better team to start with; there's no way we're beating them without a healthy RGIII.

Everyone can keep blowing smoke all they want. I didn't see a team that was better then the Skins. 14-13 with 8 minutes left & a qb that completed 5 passes in the 2nd half. Yes we lost but after the 1st quarter Griffin wasn't even close to what he was against Dallas and we all know he wasn't much in that game. I came away far more impressed with our team than the hype of Seattle. |

Wilson missed a couple of routine TD passes. We were outplayed by a better team. Even with RG3 healthy is there any way to say we win the game? Does he play defense too? Is anyone around here capable of just giving Seattle credit? They're a damn good football team. |

I agree. There were two plays on the same drive where Wilson missed wide open receivers and they had to settle for field goals. They fumbled the ball on the one yard line with a running back who usually can get you 6 down there. We allowed them to convert key third downs and committed penalties at the worst times. Redskins allowed 224 yards on the ground at 6.1 YPC. How many games do you think you will win with that kind of defense? Only way the Skins win and definitively the only way the Skins would win in ATL is with a healthy RG3. Great season. Skins lost to a better team. |

But I also think RG3 has earned the right to stay in the game and that's why we wasn't pulled. He's earned MS's trust. RG3 was hurting the team and should have pulled himself, but we know that wasn't going to happen. I think they're both to blame. |

Not many if any. They gave us a taste of our own medicine when they're offense was on the field. |
So I check pft today and they are saying the skins fear that griffs injury is worse this time around.. fml. Good morning to me, oh and that Fletcher may have played his last game yesterday..

Griffin doesn't play defense but if he completes a few passes those drives never take place. I guess Griffins inadequate play had nothing to do with the 143 yard output? How many yards did we put up before the knee injury? 129 in the 1st & after that he was done. A injury and a bad coaching decision did far more damage than the Seattle D or O. |
