Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
There will be a new coaching staff here next year and Im counting on them to show these guys how to play and win.
Lets not take my posts to non fan land. Lol. Im just looking at the big picture, and at the end of the year this win will mean absolutely nothing to anyone. After next week it will mean nothing. I mean come on man. There is a fine line between learning how to win, and winning a game. This team is finishing 2-14. When did you stop celebrating the win over Miami? A long time ago. This is that.
In addition, I would never question anyone's Skins fan hood here that is a regular poster. Especially yours, we disagree on everything else, but loving these devils unites us lol. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
Interim coach Bill Callahan said Case Keenum took the final snap because they couldn't find Dwayne Haskins. He was by the stands taking a selfie with a fan in celebration. "I think he thought the game was over," Callahan said. "I'm happy we won. We'll... es.pn/2DbiJmh

Cincy will take Burrow with the first pick, but Miami will take Young for sure. The really good news is Miami plays Cincy this year. |

This is a joke right? The guy played an absolutely terrible game. Instead of taking selfies maybe he should have been looking at film. |

If I'm Case Keenum, I'm fucking livid. C'mon Haskins, this is a job man. Finish the job. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
13 of 29, with an int and no td’s against the worst pass defense in the league and your taking fucking selfies while you are needed to finish the game? You missed more wide open throws than some quarterbacks miss in a season and you are fucking taking fucking selfies line you are a fucking hero?
I hope he gets fucking benched next week for this. What a fucking God damn embarrassment. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
Settle down. Lol. Nobody is disappointed- win or lose it is a freakin game. But put down the champagne for a second and think about what you are celebrating. We beat a bad team, at home, with their backup quarterback and 31st ranked defense. If Stafford played we lose by 21. Haskins had an absolutely terrible game. He completed a relatively short pass to McLaurin to get into fg range. Yay? Awesome? Superbowl here we come? You can feel bad for the people not sharing your joy, but Chase Young would mean more to this franchise than that sloppy ass victory against a bad team ever will. He is that good , and that win might very well mean he goes elsewhere. Only hope im hanging on to is the fact that we are not winning another game this year and 2-14 might be good enough to get him. Though the Bengals and Fins are both ahead of us now and I don’t see him falling to 3 or either of them winning a game again.
If you aren't disappointed, that message isn't about you. |

This selfie thing really speaks to level of maturity, I think.

It really wasn't a step forward. The Redskins needed A+ special teams play from a kick returner, place kicker and punter plus 4 turnovers to beat a team with a poor defense and playing a back up QB. The Redskin offense generated just a little over 200 yards and no touch downs. |

Im just sort of stunned about the excitement over this win. Lol. When we beat Miami the season was still technically alive and everyone was talking draft pick. But at 1-9 the win is suddenly more important? Ok. Miami will beat Cincy in a few weeks and move us back into 2 anyway so pop those corks I guess. Lol |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
Haskins disappointed with the over throws, but imma rack em up
To rookie nerves. Seriously think skins have talent at skilled positions and the defense has talent. Need to hire greg Williams as HC to make defense beast and need to rebuild the hogs, start wit Andrew Thomas UGA, trade Trent for a second and draft another online man with the second. I think we can be 9-7 minimum next year |

As far as him being oblivious to the game situation or to his performance? Serious question. If he had played even a decent game I guess i could give him the giddy child pass, but when you take into account how bad Detroits pass defense is he was amazingly awful. |

I agree....Haskins showed a little immaturity in that instance..... |

Right. Not a poor defense, the worst pass defense in the league. 31 overall in total defense. On top of that your quarterback goes MIA to celebrate his shit performance and Keenum has to come in to finish the game? That is embarrassing. And honestly i dont wanna hear shit about “now winning is bad” or “go root for other teams”. Lol. Like I said before did the “victory” over the Dolphins lead to better things? Did it teach us how to win? Hell no. We got worse. This is the same shit. |

He’s a rookie, just a kid, get off his tip. He will be coached up in due time. Sure as hell ain’t gonna be Callahan doing it, so don’t worry about it |
