That Sums it up for most of us on here. Who in their right mind would even watch such horrible football that the Redskins have played this season unless you are a fanatic like us. Good Post wish the players and coaches could read this letter.

I wonder who De Angelo Hall was talking about during the post game interview, he said there are some players that think they are superstars and they haven't made a play in the league and they need to stop acting like they've arrived!

Could there be some division brewing in the team?

An anonymous player said that 80% are with coach Z and the other don't believe in his coaching pedigree!

Henson is one. He has proved that by his McDonald crack. Something tells me that about Devin too. But I hope I am wrong only speculation. Henson definitely.

And with out FO constantly challenging the boundaries of sanity with bad picks year after year, I seriously dont want picks until I have the head of VC on a platter and Dan Snyder is locked in a window-less room during the offseason.

I seriously think this is possible. It's sad, but it could happen...we have no coaching, and no leadership, and it's showing.
This is what we get for hiring a decent QB coach as a HEAD COACH with no OC experience. Don't really blame us for giving Campbell another shot, but I'm done with him too.

Re: Now What??
They brought up a good point this evening on "Sunday Night In America". Zorn isn't going anywhere right now. If you fire him this week, you have to replace him with three guys. A QB coach, OC, and HC.

They also put a lot of blame on Campbell...saying he's a backup QB who doesn't deserve to be a starter. Not quite sure about that, although he isn't championship material.

Tony Dungy feels the problems are on the organizational level (yeah we've been saying that for some time.) Which of course means the only way to ever correct that is to hope Snyder sells the team and the new owner cleans house from top to bottom.
Dungy was 100% spot on. It's about bringing in guys who you think will fit your system, not always bringing in the most talented players. Has Haynesworth made a difference on our defense? No.
Can't fire Zorn unless you are ready to toss in the towel on the entire season.
Do you think we could turn this around...I am about ready to toss that towel in...we should have lost to the rams who suck, and we did actually lose to the lions. I think I have a better chance at winning the lottery than salvaging this season at this point.

Unless of coarse you planning on changing in the future to a 3-4. I'm sure that's not what DS was doing but perhaps for once he was thinking ahead and planning on getting rid of Blache after this yr but needed a nose tackle....the best nose tackle. I'm probably reaching.

Yeah i think a 5-11 season at best is almost a certainty.

Does anybody wonder how so many sports analysts have the inside scoop on the disaster within the franchise? I mean after the draft and off-season acquisitions most of the who's who still said the Skins are for sh*t and can't compete in the division (not sure they thought we'd actually be the worst offense and possibly the worst team in football), while among Skins fans/sites etc etc all one heard was the highest pitch of optimism i can remember.

...I mean I have my guesses as to what all this means. There are really smart people out there who understand what it takes to put together a legit franchise/football team, or at least these folks recognize one when they see it. Nobody sees the Skins FO/franchise as legit from what I can tell. It's not real about Zorn. It's all about Snyder and the cluster f%ck that is our FO. And yet I still hear/see a few holdouts defending the braintrust (severe sarcasm intended) that runs this franchise...on this site included. It makes me wonder if Snyder pays people to be his apologists or something because my God it's like how can an honest person not see the franchise is a disaster from the top down? We lose out in the big scheme of things. I tend to think Snyder deserves this; in fact I think his decisions make this situation the inevitable reality, but again us fans don't deserve it. I feel really bad for the suckers who actually pay to see Snyder's follies :(

Their showing the highlights of the Ravens game. God it kills me to watch it. A second yr Rookie QB making plays. Throwing bombs down field into double coverage and the WR making the play.

Why, why, why do other teams make it look easy to get their WR's the ball? We struggle.

HAHAHA, that IS REAL! In case you haven't noticed we played the 31st and 32nd power ranked teams, and we lost to the 31st team, and almost lost to the 32nd ranked team. This is about as cut and dry as it gets...the sky isn't falling, but the season is pretty much over. The odds of turning this around is not good at all.

Hey, I'm a glass half full type of person. As others were looking at the Skins and saying 9-7 I could see 11-5. If the team showed some form of improvement or could beat the teams they were supposed to beat then i would say what you are saying. Give them a chance to correct this.

I just don't see the team making the plays. I now think the first 8 games last yr was all about teams trying to figure out what Zorn was doing. Now teams have enough game film of him to stop them and it's carried over to this yr.

I'm happy for you though. Glad you can keep the faith. Unfortunatly I've lost it. Our offense has been enemic since supposedly Spurrier but I think longer. I hope I'm wrong but I think you in for a big let down like the rest of us, just at a later time. Don't worry we will be here to say we told you so.

If you are getting 2 yards, they do.

The only new development today was the disappearing act of the run defense. So in that respect, I guess we've reached a new low.

Re: Now What??

The Redskins are not a hungry team. They are grossly overpaid and collectively achieving less than mediocre results. Someone mentioned today that Haynesworth was the highest paid on the team, above Campbell, Portis, Cooley, Moss, etc. It's hard for me to watch Haynesworth be exhausted and hurt. I know Portis fights through injuries tough and silent. And making less money. Unfortunately Haynesworth is not the only disappointment. Also included are Rogers, Hall, Dockery and both lines.

I don't know how many times in the preseaon and the first two games in which I brought up a stink about our play and the projection of our lack of competitive nature and that's was ALWAYS THE REPLY from the blind hopefuls.

The Ravens believe in drafting O-Lineman. They may not be the sexy pick but without the Bigs up front you can't do Sh*t on offense.

Eeeewwwww! No...How the hell would you sell jerseys by doing that? People won't buy the jersey of an offensive lineman. That would be a waste of a first round draft pick.

How many people do you know own a Samuels jersey???...I mean really...get real.

Re: Now What??

I don't think Zorn is that bad of a head coach, I just think his play calling sucks. We are not sustaining drives, which makes me ask why? We are currently 14/37 on 3rd downs, that's pretty damn bad. NFL.com has our opponents at 22/43, that's not great but it's over 50%. We haven't been blown out, we've lost by a TD in both games. Regardless of who we are playing...blah...blah any given Sunday.
We need someone calling the plays other than Zorn. The offense is firing the passing game up (Currently 11th with 249.7 avg), and our running game is sucking (currently 24th with 91.7 avg.). Last year our avg.. passing yards a game was 189.1, and rushing was 130.9.
We've improved on passing, and regressed on rushing the ball. We need someone to call the plays that Zorn has in place. That is how we improve our offense, without firing Zorn (immediately).

Re: Now What??

The coaches arent great but these players are bums too. I really dont think there is any coach out there that can get these guys to play. If they fire JZ the season really is over. I'm hoping this loss will wake these losers up but I really doubt it. I think huge changes on need to be made on this team because changing coaches wont be enough to make a difference, there are a lot of players that gotta go.

Re: Now What??

I'm probably going to catch a lot of flack for this but I'm finding it hard to root for this team going forward. If they are going to be bad I want it to be what President Bush would call a five spiral crash. At least then there might be some significant changes. As long as we keep winning 6-9 games a year as we have been since Spurrier left, they'll keep finding ways to convince themselves they are close. I don't know exactly what the problem is but it seems pretty clear to me that this incarnation of "core Skins" as Gibbs would say are never going to put it together.

Re: Now What??

the bottom line is you can't make huge changes during the season. snyder made his bed so now he has to lie in it. firing zorn at this point would not be the smart thing to do cause he wears so many hats. and you can bench guys but are the players behind the starters better? maybe but probably not. so right now you can't hit the panic buttom. we've got to try and go out and beat TB.

We need for Jack Kent Cooke to resurrect from the dead!

The Old man was a winner! We've got a looser for an owner, who thinks he knows football.

Well its has taken sometime but I just don't let how the Skins play affect me any more. Before it would take days for me to get over a loss but I was over this loss in about 5 min. That might have come with age, maybe all of the loosing has something to do with it, but I decided a few years back not to let these losses bring me down. It did help watching my 3 yr. old daughter cheere as we lost the game and I looked at her and could only smile as she had no clue. I'll keep watching every game but I just will not let it bring me down as there is alot more to life then a football game or team.

Re: Now What??

My brother-in-law gave up on the Redskins a few years back. I don't know if it was the Norv Turner fiasco, Steve Spurrier circus or Marty Schottenheimer firing but he disassociated himself from the team and went to the dark side. He is a full fledged Cowboy fan. I thought he did it just to piss off the rest of family. But...you know...there is a limit to the amount of bullshit you can withstand. These last two games...no...these last two seasons are trying. I'm either delusional or crazy to keep thinking this team is going to turn the corner. I'm not jumping ship like my brother-in-law. I'll stop watching football all together before I become a Cowboy fan. I watch the games, knowing the Skins are not that good and things are not going to get much better anytime soon. Firing Jim Zorn or replacing Jason Campbell is not going to fix this organization. It needs an overhaul.

1) Prepare your self for a below 500 season.
2) Know that any games won will be low scoring and ugly.
3) Pray the season can't end fast enough.
4) Watch a lot of the Capitals and hopefully Wizards.
5) Anticipate who the next coach will be.
