Say what you will about Haskins, he made the plays to win at the end.
IDK, I'm just not impressed. He literally throws high on every throw and this is what Gruden was mentioning. Now we just screwed up our draft position. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
"Picking" up the win.

Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
Haskins looks like a kid at Christmas.

Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
If you watched that and are disappointed the rest of the day, I feel sorry for you.
And I mean that. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
You see how happy Haskins was???
That was the same amazing happiness we got to see last year when Josh Johnson won against Jacksonville. I love it!!! |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
It hasn't worn off, and it won't till the next time we lose. Chase Young is a beast and I want him too. I am rooting the Bengals and other members of the losers club, not against the Skins.
I love a win. I really do. I love that maybe that gives Haskins confidence. Gives the team confidence. I get it. I really do. BUT. Detroit is thee worst passing defense in football, and I just am not all giddy about beating Jeff Driscoll and the Lions. Not nearly as giddy as I would be to see them draft Chase Young. Guys like him do not come around often, and normally I do not root for draft position over victories - but I think Chase Young is going to be an absolutely stud so.......hopefully we still draft him. |

The bengals and dolphins will need to decide if a QB is more important than Young. |

And I mean that.
Settle down. Lol. Nobody is disappointed- win or lose it is a freakin game. But put down the champagne for a second and think about what you are celebrating. We beat a bad team, at home, with their backup quarterback and 31st ranked defense. If Stafford played we lose by 21. Haskins had an absolutely terrible game. He completed a relatively short pass to McLaurin to get into fg range. Yay? Awesome? Superbowl here we come? You can feel bad for the people not sharing your joy, but Chase Young would mean more to this franchise than that sloppy ass victory against a bad team ever will. He is that good , and that win might very well mean he goes elsewhere. Only hope im hanging on to is the fact that we are not winning another game this year and 2-14 might be good enough to get him. Though the Bengals and Fins are both ahead of us now and I don’t see him falling to 3 or either of them winning a game again. |

There is a fine line between wanting your team to learn how to win and personally wanting us to lose, to get the can't miss guy. My take is, no draft pick is a sure thing, winning is. The game is over. We won, and the young guys get to enjoy it together and get that taste in their mouth. If they let all of us into the locker room, I bet we would all be so happy they won. Give me a W. |

Im just looking at the big picture, and at the end of the year this win will mean absolutely nothing to anyone. After next week it will mean nothing. I mean come on man. There is a fine line between learning how to win, and winning a game. This team is finishing 2-14. When did you stop celebrating the win over Miami? A long time ago. This is that. |
Re: Tame the Lions Gameday Thread
The Lions are so bad w/out Stafford.

I want Haskins to be the guy. He wants and needs to win. |
