Taking a knee was absolutely the right thing to do. It was smart and unselfish. Why risk injuries that may occur on a kick off or as Dallas takes desperation throws down field? All we need is for somebody to twist an ankle and be out for an extended period. Take the kneel down and go home winner winner chicken dinner.
Did you see Kyle talking to DHall immediately after the play? Didnt look like he was saying good job? It was while Aikman was laughing at the fact he didnt score. I dont think you can take points off the board to avoid injury. Edit: everyone wants to say it was a team play and unselfish. This is the same guy that slapped bryant in the face and got away with it. Would you have really thought he was selfish for scoring there? |
Hailgreen, NC , H-town amongst others who were questioning the slide. Where are you now? Im getting killed over here? Lol.

Who cares if he slid..I'm more worried about him punching Bryant in the face.. He could get fined again lol..
I will say I liked it though haha. Who cares if he slid though for real, if put us in victory formation.. I enjoyed it. |

I just cant keep hearing about how selfless it was. Htown said it best - he was trying to be smart but it wasnt. Points are king I enjoyed the slap too. **** dez bryant but it was dumb as hell. Very lucky he didnt get flagged. My problem with Dhall has always been that he doesnt back up his mouth and temper on the field with his play but tonite he definitely did. |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Hall sliding was not necessarily a smart move, but it shows hall was at least thinking about something other than himself. While I'm mad it cost me a fantasy point (kneel down is a 2 year running play loss), I'd rather the game end on an rg3 kneel down than with the ball in the cowboys hands.

Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Whether Hall scored or not doesn't really matter. We went into Cowboys Stadium and kicked the Cowboys ass all over the field today and came out of it with not only a win but a 2nd place standing in the NFC East.

If he had fallen on the ball upon grabbing it yes. When he got down inside the five he could have had it stripped when he slowed up. I honestly thought he was hotdogging for a moment. He wasnt - but it was an awkward stop/ slide. It could have been disasterous. At that point take it in.

Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Imagine how crazy that would look on an interception return had Hall done that.

Amen to that Redskins4ever - so much better when the other games mean something. Got something to watch on Sunday nite - im a huge Pack fan now. If they beat the giants than the MNF game at fedex has to be one of the most meaningful ever played at fed ex.

I don't know who I hate more, the NY Midgets or their fans. Their heads have swelled so much and they got their chest poked out because of their 2 super bowls in the past 5 years. They got the Packers, Redskins, Ravens, Saints, and Falcons coming up. It's no way in hell they finish better than 8-8.

Living in NJ i have grown to hate the Giants more than the pukes. All of my friends are Giants fans for the most part. Cant blame em for their swelled heads. Mine is still big from 91. Lol. Just wanna shut them up one time.

I'm not too far from you. I'm right in Harlem across the Hudson. I just got booted out of a predominantly NYG discussion group on facebook for speaking my mind all season long. NYG fans didn't like that. We swept them under the rug last year but for me that's not enough. Some of them are deluded to think that they're going to repeat. They too stupid to know that only 4 NFL teams have repeated in the last 23 years and all of those teams were 12 + win teams. |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
RG3
What can't he do? Like I've just run out of things to say about him. Ok one negative he had today, which isn't a huge deal cause A) he's still a rookie B) we still won, but that pick he threw was critical, and he really over threw it. But hey I'll take a pick every 3-4 games at this rate with all these TD performances. Like everyone in the NFL got to see today how great he is. I love it. I'm so happy we have a franchise QB. I'm bitter sweet about not having a first rounder in the draft the next to years, but quickly remember oh yeah we got a franchise QB, who could be one of the best to ever play when his career is all said and done. (Side note; RG3 cracked me up when he got sacked and slammed by Hatcher in the 2nd quarter and he just handed the ball the ref in the funniest way when he was on the ground, like he just wasn't rattled; I Love this kid) |
Rite on. Rite on. i was up at the beacon theatre the other nite. Anyway We will get our chance in about 11 days. What a big friggin game. Its really strange for a team to be borderline .500 during the regular season and than win a superbowl. To do it twice though? Wtf?

Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Finally got to watch the game (DVR). Offense was almost perfect today it was awesome. Still a few head-scratching play calls, and why is B Banks still on the roster? Defense played a spirited game overall too, though we went too soft/prevent in the 2nd half.
Cowpukes looked really sloppy. Garret is gone after this season IMO. And overall the division is ripe for a good run, but I still doubt Shanny can deliver. |
