Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
The way our division may end up, the division winner could be in the playoffs and have a Top 10 or near Top 10 pick anyway.
Kirk Cousins is becoming very efficient in this offense, but even his biggest supporters have to acknowledge that there are still some relatively pedestrian throws out there he is missing and/or making bad head-scratching throws, however I still stick by my opinion that we can win with him if we build a contender around him and until I see us go out and get someone better, he should be the captain of the ship. |

Just part of playing the position. He made some really nice throws out there today. Then he had two or three where you just shake your head. The int was really bad. He has to know there that you can't give Chicago a short field. |
Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
One part that may get less coverage, but was the two blown play calls at the goal line. What the heck was that??? Even if Reed made the TD at the end of the series
|
Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
The INT was pretty bad. the one that I was probably even more frustrated with was when he missed Desean on the crossing route that Jackson had enough room and separation to probably turn up field and make a big gain out of it.
Speaking of Jackson, what is with our playbook where it seems like Jackson is barely a part of the offense outside of the few times he can get open way downfield? Is he not a great weapon for a WR screen attempt or two per game? Could he not be catching short passes, making someone miss and then running away? They have figured out how to utilize Reed all over the field, but it feels like Jackson is being used as a one trick pony at the moment. |

But i agree. I feel like we should be able to throw a quick screen or two his way and let him run. |

That was pathetic, horrible, pee wee ball shit right there. They looked disorganized, lost and clueless about wtf they were doing. Just inexcusable. Great play by KC to hang in the pocket and hit Reed. |

They were saying on the radio that there were communication problems with KC to the sidelines but there should always be a go to play. Cooley said when he was playing and they needed to run a play real quick for whatever reason it was always a run to the right. One word signal that meant run right. They seemed pretty shocked that KC had to burn a to and take a penalty there. |

Some of you guys giving up, saying the game was over early in the 3rd quarter... wtf is up with that? Do yourselves a favor and don't even watch the games.

Usually there are people jumping off bridges after the handshake. Third quarter is pretty damn good. |

No they won't, Cards will win NFC. They are deep at every position, their defense can be dominating, they will be in the SB. |
Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Hmmm what was the Gnats record when they won the superbowl in 2011, 9-7, lets go for that.

Lol at both your post. I think I've earned the right over 20 years to be pessimistic. Over those years we generally did lose after blowing the lead, and we hadn't won a road game yet this year. So if you are Positive Pete, good for you, but its reasonable to me negative about this franchise. I responded to your post, but this wasn't directed at you. This was just in general. |

We have a young QB who seems to be quite capable, especially in clutch time. We have a rookie head coach, who although seems to be learning on the fly, I would take over several of our coaches in the 20 years you are referring to. We have a team that doesn't give up. So I guess that not only is it easier to keep the faith on gameday(especially when we are winning or tied!). Lol. However it is also easier even in a loss to see the future is bright. It isnt that same old burn down the dumpster fire full of overpaid past their prime vets that leave us in cap hell with no draftpicks coming around the bend. This is a totally different franchise. |

I pretty much agree with this whole post. My comment was more specific towards this game. As a whole, we are clearly making progress. And its easy to be more negative when an actual game is going south. I 100% have trust in Scott. Gruden pisses me off sometimes, but have also been impressed. I'm not a fan of hiring / firing coaches fast. He should get at least 3 years, and I think every coach should. Excited to see what SM pulls off this off season. |

Same here and yes I will remind you. Arizona has 4 RB's, 6 WR's, depth at TE, best corners, great LB And linemen and a solid OL, plus a great coach. They are stacked!! |

Even healthy i think we need one more crop of players to get there. However until the season is officially over im gonna continue to believe. Stranger things have happened. |
Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
If the skins win 7 or 8 games this year, that is a massive improvement.

Yeah, agree completely. Everything McC has done this year has turned to gold. Unless he drinks himself to oblivion this offseason, he's shown us hope. 1) Draft picks (Crowder, Jarett, M.Jones, ??Smith, ??Scherff) 2) FAs (Will Blackmon, R.JeanFrancois, D.Hopkins, ?Knighton, M.Foster, Dunbar, ?Carriker, ?Gallette, ?Culliver, ?Goldson - at least a leader), 3) Support for Gruden benching Griffin This is a competent GM who makes more right decisions than not. We are better this year than last and we expect to develop a core team Wish McC found us a blocking TE however. Hamm and McCoy sucked. Carriker has been okay and has potential |

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Doc Walker had a great comment during the game right after the Bears a bad penalty. "It is like watching our team play themselves"
|
Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Just wanted to say...
Kirk Cousins played a good game today... At least right now, he is reminding me of Joe Theismann...a very dependable quarterback, possible Pro Bowl quarterback, who can win games, but not Hall of Fame material. Honestly, I am completely fine with that! Kirk Cousins looked very good today, and seems to have grown into the starters possition. For once in a long time, I have some hope as a Redskins fan. |
