Re: Now What??
Also what are you going to gain from canning Zorn for say Blache or Bugel? THose guys are not HC material at all. Blache sucks period and if Bugel wanted it or was HC material don't you think he would have been a HC already? Keep Zorn in there, try to salvage something and can his ass the day after the last game. To me it doesn't matter anymore who the HC, as long as Cerrato is there and there is no GM, the club is doomed to mediocrity.

Re: Now What??
Ruh went back to the 21 banner... thats when all of our problems began. That dude affected the future of this franchise more than we can comrpehend. It changed everything.

Re: Now What??
Canning Zorn would automatically trash the season, besides at this point everyone needs to go, Blache, special teams coach, even Bugel. I know folks hold Bugel in high esteem because of the hogs, but come on, what has this guy done during his second tenure? It is easy being considered a great coach pre cap, pre FA when you have the best line in probably NFL history playing for you year in and year for a decade.
This is the conclusion I have already come to. It kills me to think this way cause I do hold Buges in high esteem but I think the time has passed now. I'm unsure about Blache. Is he a coach living off of another coach's players or does he actually have a scheme worth a crap? |

True that! If Cerrato is still our player personnel manager then none of the changes we make will make a difference. What's unfortunate is that your common Redskin fan, from a PR standpoint, will accept a head coaching change and think all is well. |

He has an old out dated shceme on defense, and he has all of Gregg Williams players. Not one CB blitz this year, of course considering our LBs can't cover I wouldn't expect them coming any time soon. |
Yup, but he sure as hell hasn't lost a dime though.
LOL. Seriously. Seeing his cap numbers over the next few years and watching how old he looks right now is yet another example of how poorly managed this team is. |
Re: Now What??
could we sign Derrick Brooks to wlb and move Rocky to slb? then we could sign Marvin Harrison. Then we could sign Levi Jones. That I think would get us to the promise land. We can do all that tonight, fire up Redskin one danny and fix this thing. :)LOL Do you think that kind of crazy shit would go through DS mind? Or is he just like well I'll fix it next year with some free agents because thats all we need. Just a few guys here or there.
No need to fix the fact that the FO and the coaches are truly out classed by pretty much the entire NFL. |
Re: Now What??
Hey my brothers and Sisters IN Redskins Nation, my bad on that long post...I got carried away there, but rookie mistake!!! lol...Thanks for the love and for barring with me. Keep it sweet and short this time.
Do you think giving Collins a shot sound like a bad move now? The guy might be the best kept secret in the NFL..Look what he did for us in 07! I still got hope! The season is not over BABY!!! |

Re: Now What??
QB isn't the problem right now
welcome to the board
On the field leadership for the offense does seem to be a problem. You can't discount having a guy that knows how to make sure everybody is on the same page. We have no offensive leader. The defense has Fletcher and to a lesser degree Doughty but I'm not seeing Campbell doing anything special to help the offense focus. Even when the Redskins should have been in obvious hurry-up at the end of the game, Campbell wasn't, for lack of a better word, behaving like a leader needs to be. He was cool and calm to be sure but that presence wasn't rubbing off on his players. I don't know, I think statistically the argument for Campbell as a starter is strong but there are intangibles that can't be adequately measured that are just as important. |

Campbell is gone after this year anyway. After the offseason I don't see how we could offend him anymore than we have. |

That's right, as much as I like Horton, Doughty is the Man!!! He is what you call a true old school Football player! Heart, heart and smarts!

Too bad Horton and Doughty aren't very well suited to play free safety effectively(they are both pretty slow for deep coverage duties) because Landry needs to be benched. |

The Skins don't deserve any hope or faith right now. Good luck to your freshman squad...congratulations on 3-0. Maybe I'll come out and watch some of those games to see a local team win. |

Horton is not the problem. More like Landry. If only Doughty played Landry's position. I am sick of Landry. He is the only player I know that barks at the opposition when he gets burned, misses a tackle or makes a hit after a player makes a first down. |

Re: Now What??
So we just suffered possibly the worst loss in franchise history, and have dropped to 1-2 (could very easily be 0-3). The offense looks flat out bad, and the defense got gassed big time, especially in the 1st half. And our secondary is pretty darn bad by the way.
So, what do we do? Knee jerk is to just fire Zorn. We don't just look average, we look lost, uninspired, and we seem to be regressing. That's on the coach. If you're calling the shots, what do you do to fix the Redskins? Measured steps? Blow it all up and start over? Obviously our current path isn't working at all, on either side of the ball. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results....
What is next? New head coach and a top 5 1st round pick in april! |

It's always harder on a gameday after a loss to a team you should have beat. Tomorrow is a new day. And on that note...well this day is ending. |
Re: Now What??
lol You'd have to fly clear to Northern California for that
And yeah I was gonna say the Kids here Run the wing better than the skins right now I'd send my offensive line to teach the skins a thing or two about blocking! |

He's currently my least favorite starting player on the team. Freak talent, average football player right now at best. Again, I blame that on coaching. |

Re: Now What??
I don't expect them to outright admit that Zorn's job is on the line. I figure if they do anything, it'll all be behind the scenes until one day when they just spring it on us.
