I hope he does play in 2-3 games very late in the 4th QTR because the Skins are up by 28 points or more. |

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
I don't think this FA class is all that strong in general. There were/are a lot of dbs, but most of the biggest names had pretty terrible seasons in 2024. Most of the WRs never made it to market. DTs got ridiculous contracts in general this offseason (compared to performance).
I imagine AP is looking at all options for a DE. I'm also wondering if maybe the kinlaw deal had incentives (armstrong is $33m/3y, but up to $45m max with incentives). |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
For DE, it’s appears AP had one or two guys target. If he can’t get those then he isn’t pressed to slide to the next guy who may not like. So then he falls backs to solid vet on one year deals
Think that what happened at both DE and CB. He’s not pressed to give the high contract to other guys he’s not 100% on. Grown up |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
I agree. I hear Cincinnati is asking for a 1st round pick for Trey Hendrickson and Hendrickson wants a new deal. That is too much for a 30 year old DE. Yes he is great and fills a big need. But not at that price.

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
We just resigned Noah Brown and KJ Osborn to 1 yr deal. I don't think Osborn even played for us last year when we claimed him from the wavier?

This is insane to me. A first rounder and a new contract for a 30 year old defensive end who will be rapidly approaching the backside of his career is nuts. GM's are acting because the salary cap has exploded in the last 10 years it means the price for trades has also exploded too. |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Here is what CBS Sports had to say about our off-season so far:
"Washington Commanders: A+ Key additions: WR Deebo Samuel (trade via 49ers, read more), LT Laremy Tunsil (trade via Texans, read more), DT Javon Kinlaw, S Will Harris Key re-signings: LB Bobby Wagner, TE Zach Ertz, P Tress Way, QB Marcus Mariota Key departures: S Jeremy Chinn (Raiders), DT Jonathan Allen (Vikings) WR Dyami Brown (Jaguars), OT Cornelius Lucas (Browns) This is EXACTLY how you build around a franchise quarterback who is still on his rookie contract. The Commanders, fresh off a trip to the NFC Championship, have made several splashes in the early stages of this free-agent cycle. First, they kept their core intact by bringing back Bobby Wagner and Zach Ertz. Meanwhile, they made massive trades landing Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil. That gives Jayden Daniels his much-needed No. 2 receiver and a star left tackle. They also helped out the defensive line by signing Javon Kinlaw. No matter how you slice it, the Commanders are even better than when we last saw them." |

Always thought this guy is a stud with a unique, lethal skillset. Tunsil should be good if he cleans up the penalties. Very good pass blocker. Need Kinlaw to come through and be a force on dline. Very good to resign Wagner and Ertz. HTTC! |

Everyone loves it when new players are signed, but they are off their former teams for a reason. |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Re-signing our own a lot today, depth and keeping a certain amount of the team together. That's appreciated and glad to see Noah Brown back.
