Re: Commanders free agency thread
Nobody thinks much of St. Juste? I like his skill set to keep developing. Can't hurt to add another guy but I'm not throwing much money at CB - other holes come first. A guy like Darrell Roberts or similar can be picked up for $1M pretty late in the game.

I think the question with St. Juste is about his health. He was definitely on the upswing until he was riddle by his concussion (can't remember if it was one or two) and the issues he had following them. If he's healthy, then I think he could definitely become that 3rd CB. |
Re: Commanders free agency thread
I have a hard time with concussion risk. I feel like that risk exists with every player, maybe in some position groups more than others. But as for which CBs carry more concussion risk than other CBs, I don't see how you can ever say. It seems random. I see no way to assess that St. Juste will experience any more concussion risk going forward than any other CB. One concussion (it was one) doesn't make for a trend.
I mean if we're talking Jordan Reed or Luke Keuchly and they've had a thousand of them then OK I get it. |

He was in concussion protocol 3 times his rookie year and it ended his season. A lot to like about BSJ from a developing standpoint but the health is an issue. I wouldn’t mind bring Danny Johnson back to help man the nickel corner and add depth. |

There are two reasons why your risk increases: carelessness and brain chemistry. The first reason is the obvious: After you hit your head, you will be slower to react.” There are also studies showing that genetic makeup can play a part. So, based on my internet medical expertise it seems like BSJ is at greater risk than other players. Also why do you say 1? I thought he was concussed three times? To me he is on a faster track than Reed was. Unfortunately too, because I think he has a lot of potential. |

IDFK I can't keep up with all this concussion bullshit. I miss the days when you'd bang your head, wobble around, see stars, and get back in the huddle. I didn't think it was three separate episodes but I don't know. Either way three times in protocol is concerning, you guys are right. |

My dad told me one time his good friend got crushed on a play and was being walked to the sideline, right to the head coach and asked If he had any ice cream. He was back in game after half time. |

John Keim
@john_keim · 48m Washington and swing OT Cornelius Lucas are progressing towards a deal. Optimism. Could be done today...If/when it becomes finalized, a key piece to Washington's OL depth would return. Has been a solid backup for the Commanders |

Re: Commanders free agency thread
Lucas was our 3rd highest graded lineman last yr

Re: Commanders free agency thread
Lucas back on what Id assume a team friendly deal is good news. Hes an average player, a C+ player who is great to have as next man up.
Id guess Leno, Cosmi and Lucas all end up starting about that same amount of games by seasons end due to injuries. You need 8 guys who can play in this league on your OL bc youre going to start 8-9 different guys as the season wears on. |

Our line was good last yr. |

Would love to see them draft 2 young oline studs. Wentz will thrive with great pass protection. |
Re: Commanders free agency thread
Signing Lucas would be an excellent move. He's perfect for us as a swing tackle. No learning curve. Plug and play.
